​Als, they had Julie Kavner (Marge's VA. She's also the VA for the other female members of the Bouvier family, like The Gruesome Twosome, Patty and Selma; her mom, Jackie; and Great Aunt Gladys) do that take repeatedly to capture just how broken and exhausted Marge is. Say what you want about the rest of the movie, but, to me, that's probably the one thing they did right.

5:16- Well, damn. That wasn't just Dark Simpsons. That was Sad Simpsons. Ending with the final shot from "Mother Simpson" was a nice touch. Great minisode.

i’m just rewatching all dark simpsons episodes rn and i think this has to be a personal favourite. i mean that ending with the marge and homer wedding tape then homer looking at the stars was beautiful!

There is nothing that can convey how utterly sad and despair-ridden this minisode is. Incredible, it hits you in the deepest places.

My favorite Dark Simpsons episodes are the ones that can hit people so close to reality. It's not edgy, but it's like the early seasons where the episodes are down to earth and talk about people's every day life. This is one of my favorite episodes, right next to the one where it's just Maggie and Homer.

Yeah that maggie and homer video is my favorite. I very much enjoy the sadder videos.

It's really interesting, the concept that working together to raise the kids is what keeps the family together. Normally the show portrays the kids as one of the primary factors holding both of the individuals back, so it's refreshing to see a different take.

I've been watching these for maybe a year or more now, and the dream sequence at 2:27 is still one of the most outstanding scenes, in my opinion. Great use of existing scenes to create a beautifully emotional moment.

That ending was tough. While the shock value of some of the older videos that caused demonitization were hardcore, I'm glad you took a different direction to make some very dark stories that hit you in the feels a different kind of way. Still can't see Lisa giggling without getting creeped out though.

I went in expecting a shocking and gruesome ending like you usual do with your other episodes. Now I feel depressed. The ending was heartbreaking. It was dark but not in the horrifying sense of the word. Good job!

Wow. What an amazing way to celebrate 2 years strong!! This one was incredibly heartbreaking dude. That video filmed over the wedding tape always gets me, and you managed to make this one feel very real without a lot of humor to take the edge off. I really liked it!! Super well done, but golly it was so sad. Gonna need to re-watch some of your funniest ones to cool down a little from this. Well done, and happy anniversary!! Here's to many more years of Dark Simpsons!

Lol I'm actually a graphic/web designer full time. The creativity is applicable but had to learn how to edit on my own.

Mmf. This is the good stuff. I first came to this channel from Super Eyepatch Wolf's vid on Simpsons and all, and while I love the comedy, I always do like the ones that feel more grounded. Not necessarily depressing, though I love a good heart tug and this is it, just more grounded. The characters and the scenes feeling very logically leading, and feeling like it could very well be a real dark inversion of simpsons.
