Don't see why anyone would shoot such a beautiful animal. Not native but hardly damaging. We're lucky to have them here.

Their numbers have to be reduced as they have no natural predators in this environment. Also they damage tree understory that is absolutely necessary as nesting areas for birds particular the Nightingale. Plus there is also the legitimate reason that some of us like to eat venison.

@@conlaiarla if we didn't wipe out all our native predators there would be no need... We continue to reject the prospect for reintroducing the Lynx so we can't care about numbers and overgrazing that much. Sheep do far more damage and we encourage the white plague to keep our uplands a green desert. 🤷‍♂️ No justification to shoot wild deer. Much larger herds once roamed.

Horrible that you shot these small Muntjac deers with tourists in our county. It should not be allowed They are lovely shy animals. I am so lucky to have them coming occasionally onto my land and they are welcome. Hunters like you and the tourist trophy hunters who shoot defenceless animals are not!

Not for trophy. For the table. They make a great bbq slow roast. Better than any meat you buy from a supermarket that comes in a plastic tray where the animal was born to die and never be free. I know what's horrible and it's not free range Muntjac.

Beautiful animals. And they taste so nice. So funny seeing the pheasant chasing after it with his head down. Can't understand hypocrites slagging people for shooting them for the table who are happy to go and buy their slaughtered baby lambs or beef that were born to just die and end up getting zapped in the head in an abattoir and put in plastic trays in the supermarket. Free range venison of any variety is so much better. Do me a favour. Next time you buy lamb. Go to the sheep farm and watch a lamb play and then the abattoir before you buy your Sunday roast and commenting..... No... didn't think you would. We all (in the UK) saw the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's program about the chickens. Enjoy your chicken dinner. I'll take that pheasant over your roast any day.
