We have travelled this route from top station to BERIJAM 1997 . We were in three bikes , I think we started around 1.00 pm one localite told us it will take only one hour to reach Kodai.We saw lots of wild buffalo and few deers. Anyway we couldn’t reach check post even at 6.00 pm in mean time one of our bikes chain got broken then we push the bike around 15 min for gods sake we saw the check post. The guys over there really good, helped us and gave food. So from there they told us it’s only 24 km to kodai so from there we six guys in two bikes to kodai…..

Very Adventurous ride ആയിരിക്കും. Forest cheek post ഉണ്ട് വണ്ടി നമ്പരും പേരും എഴുതിയ ശേഷം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കടന്നു പോകാം. കൊടൈക്കനാൽ പോകുന്ന വഴി പോലെ അല്ല , അതു ക്കും മേലെ. Four wheel drive Jeep മാത്രമെ അതു വഴി പോകുകയുള്ളൂ. ഇപ്പോൾ അതുവഴി കടത്തി വിട്ടുമോ എന്നറിയില്ല. കാന്തല്ലൂർ കൊടൈക്കനാൽ proposed road ഇതു വഴിയാണ്. നല്ല ഒരു Experience ആയിരിക്കും

3 years ago while staying in dream valley resort I went this route and covered 5kms.The view was excellent with small fruit farms,I got bananas,passion fruit and grapes from a local man for free.Land slide stones and mud were not removed from that route which made the drive tougher.local people and jeeps were there and they warned me to go back as I drove an etios cross.The drive is still a memorable one

the one you went through is the Farm road and not the escape road. The farm road runs somewhat parallel to the escape road and is used by farmers mainly.
