We managed to get our tickets but still struggled with which platform and train to get on. Thankfully the kind German public rescued us on more than one occasion!!

How would you validate an online ticket? We would buy ours from the MVV app.

0:42... as a Driver of the Suburban Railway system, i can confirm that the "U-Bahn" (The red train) is the S-Bahn. :)

That's a good idea. I actually did a research on local transit apps before my trip. There are a few apps but no clear standout at that time. Which app do you recommend?

@@RoamingGoose as a German and Bavarian I would say the DB Navigator or the local apps "MVV-App" or "MVG Fahrinfo"

So the group ticket is present for both s bahn and u bahn ? Please reply as soon as possible.

Yes, from a ticket standpoint there is no difference between U-Bahn and S-Bahn (as well as bus and tram). It's all connected.
