Mungo National Park - An ancient Australian outback frozen in time |

Mungo National Park is so unlike anywhere else in Australia you could be forgiven for thinking you’ve arrived on Mars. Rich in Aboriginal culture and history, Mungo is home to the most significant human remains ever discovered in Australia - Mungo Lady and Mungo Man - at over 42,000 years old.
Part of the Willandra Lakes Region World Heritage Area, this outback landscape was once filled with huge lakes.
Learn more about this ancient place with a guided tour of the Miungo Lunnettes, Walls of China and stay in the historical Mungo Shearer’s Quarters or camp under the stars at Belah Campground.
This unique adventure will need some extra planning though.
