David Chang kind of feels like a guy who tried something, got really rich doing it, not too sure why he's so good at it(or why people like it so much), and tries his best to not screw up what he's doing.

I agree and that's why I like him. He seems modest about what he does. But for some reason he still gets a lot of hate. Not sure where that hate is really coming from

"some salt, some black pepper, and a couple hours of don't fucking worry about it" lol love it
Have a lot of respect for this dude, first off, he's doing something, he knows that he's never going to be as good as the dude next to him who happens to be the best. But that doesn't stop him from becoming great in his own way, and be successful.

Ahhhh this production and editing is so 2000's i love it! Just good fun to watch
I have been a chef for 20 years, and I completely relate. That man tells it how it is, he is a regular guy who is an excellent creative chef, humble, down to earth, you and me kinda guy. I would love to hang and drink with him.
Restaurant owners getting wasted. Munchies in a nutshell and I love it.

These are my favorite videos. More videos about chefs talking about their favorite places to eat please
The dude is hammered and kept it together! what a legend.
I like how he's not down to cook and the minute he gets drunk he goes for it. drunk cooking, while it can be dangerous, is so much fun
"Jose Andres just called me, should i call him back?" Chang you gotta love where you are at.
Love watching this in 2022 and seeing how far Dave has come.
I love this guy, he's real. No facade, no tricks, he's just a genuine dude with realistic expectations of everything. Need to see more people like this around!

I feel it fits the theme of the show better. Thats why the old "A cook's tour" with Anthony Bourdain appeals to me(as a cook), it peels back this "skin" of romanticism the media encases around the real life or social activities of a cook. Which is usually alone or with other people in the same industry; more often than not, they're as socially remedial as you.
How this guy turned an average idea, average food and an average Talent into a multimillion-dollar Empire is quite incredible

i love how personal this was. also, seems like an awesome place to hang out
David Chang is a rock star. I love how he’s unfiltered and doesn’t try to put on an image of the highly decorated chef or put out pretentious vibes. He’s punk rock, not an orchestra in penguin suits. Blue collar. Passion for the people. Seems like a dude I’d love to kick it with.
This is hilarious! He was so drunk haha. Love how down-to-earth he seems.
Watching david chang makes me proud to be a chef. lmao
Real, humble, and honest dude, Vice needs more stuff with this guy
I really like the feel of the atmosphere at momofukus, the food looks good can't wait to go there one day.
"I don't think I can handle that." "I think we're gonna have to handle this."
this video got Vaynerchucked
11:35 The "we're gonna have to handle it" guy is having the time of his life haha
Chang ROCKS!! I love the fact that he is humble enough to admit that he felt out of place.
"here's to burning and looting, i think its a bob marly song but idk im drunk!" hahaha
david chang is the fucking man
Keep em comming V!CE, love almost all your stuff!

David Chang killing the food game right now..Those buns looked on point and obviously very respected by all.
Man I want to work with David, or just to hang out with him and understand him, have him mentor me, just chill with him. I have mad respect for him.

Love these episodes. Good shit.
I went to this place in Toronto, the classic momofuku ramen is unbelievable. The pork buns are heaven. Great atmosphere as well
Guy with glasses looks like an undercover Bradley cooper.
11:35 Gary Vay-ner-chuck. I hope he brought some wine.
As soon as I ate a Momofuku Pork Bun, it instantly became my death row meal; unbelievably delicious!
I was glad to see the speaker dude at the end! hahaha must have had interesting fun convos.
idk why people are giving Dave smack when he owns a chain cuisine restaurant and makes at least 7 figures. Am I tasting salt from the haters?

Did I see ***** at 11:35? Awesome! Must have been good wine too.
Ole #GaryVaynerchuk cameo at 11:38 ... My dude.
Love this. Ive had many pork buns in my life, but I still say I haven't truly had one yet since I have not had David Chang's. Nuff said.
Insane watching this now as you can really see how much the food culture has changed
Do I spy Gary Vaynerchuk and Travis Kalanick at 11:35? Yes, yes I do.
The west coast could use a Momofuku...
Thats a masterpiece, mate!!!!
I really enjoyed the last video with David Chang and was glad to see another. Nice fuckin' work.
This guy is very unassuming
that office worker looks like she gets tagged teamed
and you have loads of footy on your channel, good job man!!
I fucking love this dude - i'm not even a cook or a chef (i'm a musician); but i respect Dave so much for his success. He's inspirational

I love success stories like this. Never give up
I must just be thin-skinned or something to pick up vibes like this, but for some reason on a lot of these Munchies episodes the people who hang out with each other seem really passive-aggressive. Basically acting like pricks towards each other. Like they're a shot of whiskey away from slugging it out on the street. Maybe it's just the place I'm from, I don't know.

That's just how people in the food industry are. They're a bunch of egocentric, depressed, socially-retarded, drug-fueled, assholes. At least in my experience. But there are some exceptions.

LucidDream Come to Hawaii there are tons of Asian girls here, but unfortuantely there are many here that are stuck up and kind of shallow. But if you are good looking, you have a nice vehicle, and you have a lot of money then you should be okay. =) I would still choose South East Asia if I wanted to date and have sex with Asian women though.
Love this show.
more like this with other chefs thank you vice

legend! guy drunk and still cooking!
There’s so much chaos going on in this it gave me anxiety
Didn't know what Momofuku was until now and I work in NYC (fashion industry so no one eats) but I am checking this place out ASAP. David seem mad cool.
I love the Gary Vaynerchuk cameo at the end.
Whats the song at the beginning?
David was relatively coherent @ 7:57 considering how smashed he was... hilarious and uber chill
This episode should have been called Drunkies. HAHA David Chang and Jose Andres are hilarious when they interact.
Rewatch this after reading his memoir Eat A Peach and it hits different. You can see this is essentially David Chang howling "Wubba lubba dub dub"
seems like a chill guy
he was hammered at the end
came here for the fried chicken & it was amazing, the pork buns are to die for as well 😤
These are very wholesome
Unapologetic and honest. Best guy🙏
I love that Spanish dude and his show.
Discovered him on Treme. It's crazy that a tv show put real talented cooks behind the screen.
love how down to earth he seems (y)
whats the song at the first bar?
Oh man, I have such a crush on David Chang
He is definitely an entertaining individual.
what's the name of the song playing at the beginning? :D awesome video! keep it rolling, rick!
Gary V lmaooo of course! Now dave is probably one of the most recognizable chefs in the world and of course Gary V is there where it all started lol that’s awesome
Here in 2019 watching this video for probably, I don't know, the fourth or fifth time and I only just realized that Gary Vaynerchuk makes a cameo at the end. I'm just glad he didn't try to give me advice.
This guys life is just awesome.
whats the song @ the very start around 30 seconds?
