Mummy, I'm Still Fighting - Njambi Koikai

She was raised by fighters. Women who had to fight for their survival, their rights and their wants. Her grandmother whom she called mummy taught her to stand up for what she believed in and fight for what she wanted. Mummy nurtured her fighter spirit whether it was against bullies or in the pursuit of education against all odds. This fighter was used and stretched during the greatest fight of her life. The fight for her life against Thoracic Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. A fight that was physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting. This girl is a fighter who does not give up until the battle is won. This is a tribute to her fight coach. Her grandma. Who's your fight coach?

I just love "Mami" because I see my own mother, those women were from another planet, they were the pillars of the society!! They never waited for no man to do anything for them!!! They were from a world where women never had an ID card and so they had no power until they were issued with the ID cards and all hell broke loose because now the kikuyu man was overtaken at lightning speed by this woman!! They were wonderful role models!!! Three cheers for Mami and all the other Mamis!!!!
