So here is finally the video where I traveled all the way from Ghodbunder Road to Mumbai's Colaba causeway to buy 1 Tee shirt, 1 Bottomwear, 1 Eyeware, and 1 piece of accessory all this within a budget of 1000 Rs.
How to reach: Take a local train and head to Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and then take a taxi that will roughly charge Rs 50/- to Rs 60/- and a 10 mins drive to Colaba causeway. The market is open all days and is rushy during the weekends. The most preferred time to visit is a weekday between 1 to 4 pm as during this time, you will find less rush and more peaceful time to choose good stuff for yourself.
Hacks to crack good deals:
1) Never settle for the first price they quote, always bargain up to 50% of what they quote at first.
2) Check with multiple vendors.
3) There is no shame in going back to the vendor who promised a good price for a good quality material.
4) Trying these clothes is a big challenge especially for girls and hence I suggest going to the washroom that's in the MacDonalds mall. I tried the clothes there so that I didn't have to travel back just for the size issue.
5) The market is spread throughout the lane so don't miss out on checking till the end.
P.S: If you are travelling during summer, don't miss out on using a cap and a nice eyewear to cover your head and eyes, and do apply sunscreen for sure nahi to jal bhun jaoge.
