MUMBAI is CRAZY!! (Should you visit here as a foreigner in INDIA?)

Mumbai is Crazy! Mumbai is one of India's biggest cities with a population of roughly 20 Million People. Is this city too much for foreigners in India? We heard Mumbai will be one of the most challenging parts of India for Foreign tourists and if we are being completely honest, there is some truth to that. Everything seems to be on the extreme end of the scale in Mumbai. But does that mean you shouldn’t visit? Im not sure skipping Mumbai is the answer, but just be prepared.

Funny story. I was on a holiday tour in Brazil at Ipanema beach. We got off the tour bus and were taking pics, and there was an older Indian couple on our tour and the lady was wearing a sari. Suddenly all these locals came up to her and started taking selfies with her. At first everyone on our tour was worried because of the crime etc. but even little girls came with their mothers and got a pic. Apparently they'd just never seen someone in a sari before!

Just imagine if you had never seen any white people or any foreigner in real life, you'll find them different as Indians are completely different from them. so you will be curious and might want to take a picture with them.

@Upamanyu Baishya yes. Even on video I find it disgusting. If these travellers are known to you or you become friends with them then a couple of selfies are ok but every strangers asking for selfie with every group member is terribly uncomfortable to anyone. If we want the world travellers to come to India & visit our beautiful country we must make environment that is welcoming for them. In my opinion a vigorous advertising campaign must be started in this regard to educate our people.

Firstly, I really admire your patience during the selfie thing you experienced. I simply loved your modesty. Thank you so much. Again a very awesome video about my city Mumbai. I am big fan of your channel. Actually the places like Gateway of India and Chowpatty beach are touristic places and are also visited by people who are from different parts of India rather than local people from Mumbai. That's also might be one of the reasons you had the selfie issue.

I'm slowly beginning to see the bright side of the selfie madness. Sure you could have said no but because you are so welcoming, it makes the entire "ordeal" so much less ordeal like, seeing all those happy faces and smiles. It's rather wholesome. May the masala chai give you all the energy forward. Cheers! :)

Please, don't hesitate to say "NO, Sorry!" They wouldn't mind. Can't go to those each Indians to tell how embarassing this selfie culture is or change their mindset. But if you say NO, you can enjoy comfortably together without wasting your time and we Indians will understand eventually & this selfie culture will decrease with time. Little contributions makes the difference large.✌🏼🤍

When I was a kid growing up in Mumbai in the 80s and 90s, the Gateway of India was never that crowded. It was just a normal place where there were "some" people like any other place in South Mumbai. You could walk around inside the structure. Marine Drive didn't have sand around the tetrapods. Not even at low tide. Unless you were around the northern part where there is a beach. How times have changed. And there used to be great kulfi ice-cream shops lining the road opposite Chowpatty Beach. A must try. Lots of different flavors. And not sure if it's still there, there was a nice little restaurant called Crystal which served quite homely Indian food.

Watched ur vlog by chance and naturally becoz wanted to know how foreigners liked about our country. But was suprised looking at the satisfaction on your face in even the worst of sitiations. We Indians have inbuilt survival instinct and can survive under any circumtances , by applying our (juggad) tricks. a flexible approach to problem-solving that uses limited resources in an innovative way. So thats what you tpo are doing in India. You are great people. India is a country of emotions and you will experience emotions within you which you never even imagined you had - ONLY IN INDIA , So have a great timr

I think you will find same kind of madness in Delhi and nearby area too untill you reach Himalaya , one of the most peaceful place in India. You should visit some offbeat places in Himalaya for a good end of India journey. (Don't visit crowded places though) And the selfie madness is completely your fault. I mean it is a important thing to say no to selfie in India , they will do nothing about it. Try to say no always.

I am from Mumbai too so I can tell you that you can say "NO" to those selfies and enjoy your day out. I just watch your video and it's a first time. Looking forward to watch your all other videos... You have so much positive vibes... I don't know ur name ma'am but you remind me of Lizzie Shelby from Peaky Blinders

Great video. I have visited Mumbai 4 times for business and pleasure. I absolutely love Indian food. I have not had the courage to eat street food yet, but I have eaten street food dishes off the street (in restaurants) and they are delicious. I really don't understand the selfie thing. It's really bizarre why they would want a selfie with tourists? And, where do they post these photos? Well, nobody asked me for a selfie; perhaps because I am an older lady now. haha. I love how inexpensive it is to visit Mumbai, I was able to stay for two weeks at luxurious 5-star hotels with amazing service. I was able to rent a Mercedes with a driver for a reasonable price, and never had to take any trains or buses or rickshaws. Overall, great city, safe city, beautiful ocean views, delicious food...but the weather is brutally humid, so be prepared to shower every time you return to your hotel room.

Marine Drive looks incredible at sunset! 🌅 I’m curious, did you get to try any street food there, or was it just too crowded? Also, how did the masala chai turn out?

There are many ppl from Rural India visiting Mumbai and other tourist places in the city during holidays and they have never seen any foreigners back in their villages and digitization in India has reached every village so even every villager in India uses social media these days that's why they like to share selfies with foreigners on their social media. For them it's still a unique thing.
