No stadium in India can replace Wankhede interms of its historical importance. Located at the sea facing Marine drive and in the heart of South Bombay, its just too iconic. Only Eden Gardens comes close when we compare with other Stadiums in India.

Iconic based on history and location, right next to marine drive. But this is not enough, it's small, it's doesn't have good stadium experience for spectators, it just doesn't meet the international standards, infact no ground in India meets the standards including the largest one in Gujarat. It was built on a budget primarily.

For those who are concerned why govt. is not making football stadium, let me brief you they are making a FIFA style stadium with 50000 seating capacity and there is another football stadium in Mumbai which despite being small hardly fills up. SO instead of blaming the govt for not making football stadium we need the people to fill the stadims, otherwise the stadium will rot in dust and no crowd means no income generated through it, now tell me is it a great step?

Going to Dadar or CSMT by train is much easier than going to Amane via Kalyan Station...Definitely these projects are required but lack of connectivity and mode of transport for Central line areas is a big problem.. Govt has to look at it there are many options which can be done..

Mumbai is a better place to play a match than Ahmedabad. People in Ahmedabad don't care to go to the stadium. Kam se kam panauti se toh Bach jayega. Delhi or Mumbai should host the Olympics instead of Ahmedabad.

I went there for India vs Pakistan and the final match. And the majority of the crowd was outside of Ahmedabad. So Ahmedabad isn't even developed like Mumbai and Delhi.

MCA should revamp wankhede stadium like Santiago Bernabeu. Wankhede stadium location is ideal and it is the most iconic stadium so why not renovate it instead of building new one.

Amane is a village in Bhiwandi of Thane District, yes a part of MMR. if its near Samruddhi and Vadodara highway intersection, village would be Kukse Borivali not Amane(this is correction in video). They have already destroyed two hills for intersection. If they want to build it in vicinity to that area, they should do it near Shelar or Nimbavli village. That land parcel should be reserved for logistics only.

Its not always about winning, most of the country have just 2-3 sports in which they are capable of winning the world cup, sports like football earn 1000% more money than cricket ever would it will provide a huge amount of employment, the earning of last FIFA WC was 9.1+ billion dollars , England is among top 5 best footballing nation and still the last WC they won was in 1966 , We need to become better in every sport, I want our name to be one of the best in every sport possible.

स्टेडियम तो बड़े बनती है लेकिन बाउंड्री तो इंडिया के ग्राउंड की एकदम छोटे बच्चों जैसी होती है कि एकदम इजी छक्के चौके लग जाते हैं वही देखा जाए तो साउथ अफ्रीका और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के ग्राउंड में छक्के मेरी नहीं पाते हैं इंडियन प्लेयर कुछ प्लेयर मार पाते हैं।

Rather build whole olympic level sports complex in navi mumbai it would be more feasible...

Bhai Municipality aur Municipal Corporation me pahle farq janlo Municipalities are towns/ small cities with more than 2 lacs population Whereas Municipal Corporation are cities with more than 10 lacs population Thane me 6 Municipal Corporation and 4 Municipality hai whereas Paschim Medinipur me 0 Municipal Corporation and 7 Municipality

This frustration is due to downfall of growth rate since 2014 and state Gov. Is trying to catch the previous growth rate there is nothing like jealous development in MH is not proportional with any political party
