Direct flights are expensive and indirect flights are cheaper.

Alana, I hope your mum is in the pink of health and enjoys her stay in a country(ie. Malaysia) that has a higher standard of living and economy than any others in Southeast Asia or Indochina - outside of the sovereign nation state of Singapore, of course. I should know as I’m from there. Cheers!

Must be really exciting to meet Alana again and landed in KL again too! 30 years ago, there's pink mini bus all around KL, the bus stop was in front on Central Market. The interstate bus station was Puduraya, the tallest building was Dayabumi and famous hangouts nearby was Kotaraya. The National Monument was still a green hilly park, and Museum Negara was a must visit. Parliament building was also the most iconic building 😄

FYI, Today's Intermark was formerly and famously known as Yow Chuan Plaza when your beloved Mum last came to Malaysia... and yes, it was across the road from the even better known Ampang Park which used to cater to the majority of us budget concsious souls whereas Yow Chuan Plaza hosted various upmarket, high class and premium brands and shops back then 😅

The last time Mum was in KL, those were the good old days when our infamous Mini Bus ruled KL streets, no toll plazas existed within Klang Valley, in fact our PLUS Highway was only between KL and Melaka and certain short intermittent stretches around the north Semenanjung Malaysia up to that time 🥰 Of course, she would have flown into KL via Subang International Airport coz KLIA (Sepang) was still a virgin Mangrove Jungle at that time 😅 And if she was in KL in September, she would've also had the privilege of witnessing KL hosting the biennial SEA Games that year 🏆 👏
