fun fact: The first ever Tips and Tricks guide on this channel was for Harley Quinn injustice 2! Like this guide is a "short" one by my standards as its only half an hour, but back in the day they were like 6 minutes instead of the hour long monstrosities they normally are these days. Worth mentioning in terms of minor traits, triple jump is a very good option. In teams it may as well be necessary because it's a guaranteed third jump if your teammate also has it, but in Harley's case it's good even in 1v1 because she is juggling people anyway, so getting a hit on an enemy in the air for the triple jump isn't exactly uncommon.

This, I prefer triple because it enables a harder vertical pressure if you use it correctly and can lead to some really nasty low hp knock setups if you position box and bomb right!

Funfact: Harley's side-special is such a crappy projectile it actually defeats moves that use your projectile against you (ie: Taz's bite/spit, and Garnet's dance shield), since when the other character tries to fire it back, it'll vanish almost immediately, since it retains its short range and lifespan.

I found this guide so much more useful and well put together compared to most out there. Just cohesive important information and tips. Most channels just read what the move does and then says like and subscribe. Earned my like for sure.

Don't underestimate Jack in the box centre stage especially against more grounded characters (like finn). Furthermore I like standing Jack in the box to safely pull out bat doll. On top of that you can launch opponents into it to begin juggles.

Hey ! Great video ! Quick question about perks : You say you wanna increase damage on kill moves with perks but does "increase damage" also means "increased knockback" in this game ? Because if it doesnt increase the knockback on these moves it may be better to use damage perks for combo attacks or for ennemies that have the burn debuff

knockback is based on initial dealt damage(and their current health total naturally), perk damage is added at the moment of the hit, not after the fact to the best of my knowledge and testing so it makes perks that up the damage give you just that much more knockback.

Hey hope everyone is doing well, kove this video it helped me a lot, just discovered that Harley has an extra kick with the slide action wich can come handy for combos. Just pull the joystick down twice and the extra kick comes on. Wanted to leave this interesting move. Thanks again for the tips. 😁

i plat multiple different characters and this is the best and most in depth guide i've seen. it'd be awesome if you could make more on other characters! but i understand if there's no time to learn more characters

I feel the combust major perk would be better if the explosion/launch had like a 1 second delay so if you get confetti stacked on you follow up could be like forward attack either air or ground into up attack for 4/5 then up special to trigger it, they fly up a bit then get relaunched higher than if they just got blown up as they got hit

Have to show this to The Lovely Wife! She is all about Harley and will learn a lot from this.

i think it's worth mentioning that harley quinn can use her down glove attack in any repetition of her loop, just use it before the two air kicks to get wayy more damage, even more with ignite. (also if you are with your execution on point, u can even set up the neutral special bomb while doing the loop without dropping it)

I never took a look at Harley's moveset until now, but I already like some of the moves she can do, especially her Down Air. Reminds me a lot of Mega Man's Down Air with his Hard Knuckle, which I used a lot to spike people down back in Smash 4 and onward! ✊

Some platform fighter basic lingo is forward air - fair back air -bair(pronounced bear) up air-up air down air-dair (pronounced dare) and neutral air as nair with specials being called either direction special or b (but that's more for ssb) hope this helps and loved the video

2:55 Also this move if you are fully charging it and hold a move key or stick forward - after the spin she will dash into direction your holding and then do the final upwards attack

I think her side special is kinda underrated, I use it a lot for general mobility but Ive also managed to get a lot of kills of the walls with it by using it to quickly get down to someone climbing the wall and knocking them off with the projectile then following it up with the neutral hammer swing, free kills if they are very damaged or just putting them in more danger and in position to continue to follow up on it (if that makes any sense lol). I also like to use it to setup some pretty ridiculous vertical plays. i mainly use the smooth moves signature so i also like to spam it just to get out of danger or outplay people who don't expect it.

Don't forget, her up ground attack, it turns into a high damage vacuum attack with huge knockback at the end. It has a similar weakness as her nuetral ground J, but better and vertical, combing much better into her other attacks.

i just discovered if you apply the stuffy bat to Harley and trigger it with a neutral triangle, it’ll deal 2 ticks of fire damage and knock enemies back. But you have to be very close to reach the hit boxes however. it’s a wild card at best but can get a breather where they’re stunned with fire damage

Very comprehensive guide. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Though I'm sure it goes without saying, the ground & air neutral and the down air do have a pretty large window to punish Harley players if they're trying to get those juicy finishers in. I'm not sure exactly how many frames of wind-up it is for each one but it is worth noting. :)

Yeah I know, just wound up really digging harley in a way I didnt anticipate. Chasing people down and fishing for sweet spot hammer kills is super fun.

ok so what is the button sequence for the loop... after the first two hits how do go into the two kicks.... Do u push the jump button and go into it again .... im not sure

Something I don't like about people explaining this character is the downplay of confetti/ignite. It's on average 9 damage per application for free. She has 3 abilities that can apply it. If you run flammable doc, now you're double applying it. It is so ridiculously strong to leverage this synergy and play for ignites.

the combo at 18:36 i always end up jumping to high when i try to do the kicks, any tips?

On the jump kick side combo, how are you jumping and kicking so quickly off the ground? By the time I can get a kick off I'm way over their head. I'm using default controllers and my guess is most aren't. I can't stand smash style controls tho. I'm old. Jump is a button not a joystick lol

I really like That’s (Not) All Folks as a perk for Harley because paired with the air hammer or spike attacks is gonna be good for edge play. In my opinion it gives you that extra bit of risk management to go straight above the void or edge of a screen to knock someone out. I am still like 24 matches into the game at this point and fairly new.

You just dont need it your recovery options are amazing and you can float a lot in this game, its not that youre wrong its just other valuable perks can take this slot

You make it look so easy to do the f-air in the middle of the combo. How do I do it that easy? I accidentally whip out the glove half the time and the other I'm not quick enough before Shaggy dodges. Any help is appreciated.

I inverted side | neutral normals and use the dedicated neutral normal button.

You can dair every 4 attacks in the true combo to avoid attack decay. And if you're close to where you wanna stop the combo, you can dair and if you're fast enough you can land up air light into up air smash after the dair and it's pretty consistent KO or will knock them high enough for you to get a position reset and advantage

How can you do air down normal without activating fast fall? My Harley always fast falls when I try using it.

Whenever I down air with her I drop fast so I don’t really get to pull off her down air charged attack. I noticed when you do it you don’t fall fast. Am I pressing something wrong or have a wrong setting ?

How do you do 4:16 on ps5

I didn't know perks were additive. I figured 5% more dmg or whatever would just give 5% of the dmg it dealt which would be pretty miniscule cause if I got 5 percent every forward attack in the air. That'd fuck shit up. And if you're going for loops and have the grounded version. That's 5 times well say4 for two loops into a fifth for the launcher that's like 25 extra dmg your dealin.....

I might be the only one hearing it but you're voice is so similar to the narrator in the Spiderman game on ps2

Most of the times while trying the first "basic" combo I overjump my opponent. Am I missing something? Or I'm just to slow?

Sounds like you have to learn how to short hop and remember that you can control yourself quite a bit in the air, short hopping in generally as tapping the jump button and getting used to the timing of quickly using an air attack which result in you using the attack low to the ground and you can move while doing this as well

make sure just to tap jump, don't hold it or you wil jump much higher than you want.

Triple jump is necessary imo for Harley

Her side special isn’t that bad when turned into extra dodges you can basically juggle one the ground with the right timing

I actually mess with the confetti signature perk in 2’s

No Triple Jump perk? I feel like thats a must for doubles, unless you were talking 1v1 build.

Triple jump maybe fine for a coordinated team but my time with harley is me having to carry my partner on my back every single game and I build with that in mind.

With Harley being able to apply a consistent debuff in Confetti, and with Ingited also being a debuff thats applied right after Confetti, would you not also recommend the minor perk "Hit 'Em While They're Down"? (Your team deals 5% increased damage when hitting debuffed enemies.) With her combo ability, and being able to combo into up attack Confetti gun, I feel like it would be one of her better perks imo as well.

the thing is confetti debuff is not consistent in the terms of you applying it whenever you want. Either you get lucky with them tripping the jack in the box, or you combo into it at which point you are getting 20-40% and the debuff(if you trigger it) is only an extra 4~ damage. Its a nice to have but its not anything to base your gameplan around

@@rooflemonger hey ive been near the top of harleys 1v1 since closed alpha so just wanted to give my imput you proc confetti quite a bit actually usually and the ignite debuff can proc off of down air which is used alot in the harley bnb loop so low amount of additional damage adds up alot over the course of a match and gets people to percents harley can kill confirm at alot faster

I think people don't understand that you should be using harley's side special defensively.

I never liked platform fighting games also. Something about a jump button instead of just pressing up being a sin against nature, but I did get a little more used to it when I started playing Rivals of Aether. And that was the only platform fighter that ever did anything for me, personally. Definitely recommend, cause it's pretty awesome.

I think ur sleeping on the side special a bit. It’s quite good to bait people who like to chase u and run away on the ground. I’ve caught a lot of fins by doing the special away from them and their attack drags them into the fist. Makes them think twice about attacking u or using that move.

you can also actually combo out of the air version (because you can continue moving the entire time of the air version) at low percents

I dislike glove control, the move takes longer to come out when using that perk, i much prefer the dodge for her side special

just jump! Not every move allows you to cancel the animation into a jump though is the thing.

Dont worry about the terminology. They say things like end lag instead of recovery frames. Weirdos.

gotta jitter your momentum basically to stay in line with them. Not like a traditional fighter you gotta keep moving the whole time and course correcting.

I cant stand Harley. Her hit boxes are cheap. You can dodge and still get hit when you're behind her. Most people just run away the whole match. I have fought a few good people who actually do combos with her. Wonder woman all day 🛡️
