Was at the jetty today caught a few pin fish. First time there and loved it.

After the head trauma from hit the rocks it will probably die. That is twice now you know you can’t flip. I would try another way to land them

it depends on who you ask. Many do say it is trash fish. Many people also eat them. You will have to decide for your own self as one person. I myself have never caught one. However may I recommend Landshark Outdoors youtube channel, who I watch a lot in addition to MDLR and other fisher tubers. Landshark Outdoors, out of Florida, has a whole multi video series of “catch, clean, and cook” videos on the socalled trash fish. So he also has a whole entire video catching and cooking blue fish. Turns out, they are not trash fish. People called it trash because they did not know how to correctly preserve and prepare the meat for cooking. And so Landshark Outdoors’s motto goes, “no trash fish, only trash cooks!” 😅 And tight lines and good luck!

Was looking at your Playlist but it is only organized by seasons. Do you have any videos that teach how you set your poles up to catch certain types of fish? Went surf fishing all last week and all I caught was catfish.

I try my best to describe my rigs and setups. I do have a jetty playlist. I haven’t fished much in the surf but that’ll change very soon.

Thanks to the congressman in texas n many other states ,that's not really interested or knowledgeable,,about the true amount of fish out there,,,you just bought about 80 shrimp to many,,guarantee you could catch 15 of those 18" keepers n it would not have one inch of impact on the fish #s,,,,sonwe buy all this expensive equipment n expensive bait for 3fish,,,because there us a lawyer or congressman that want to make policy or law to say look what I've done,,,n the sad point of it all notvone of them owne a fishing pole n reel n have never casted one,,,yep just control,,,now RUN TO JESUS

Most of us don't do it for the fish..... that nice time no worries just fishing getting to meet people and if u have family that time u spend with them and or just simply the bragging right u get when u get a slot is the real worth the fish just adds the final touch I rather spend 50-70 bucks each tripwire my family then just be sitting home or being at work

There coulda been too many fishermen around, I dislike when I’m snagging fish and someone sets up next to me thinking they’ll have the same luck, just to have them tangle up onto my line

Not so sure it wasn`t a red the way it was pulling drag unless you saw it was a trout..lol
