Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Depending on how much you guys enjoy this style of video, I'd love to spend more time in the server and really get a "foothold," both in readjusting to DayZ gameplay and additionally learning how the survival in STALKERZ in particular goes. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is one of those games where even if you've already just finished playing it for hours and you see/watch someone else playing / talking about it / playing a proxy - you find yourself booting it right up again 😂

Stalker is a game that keeps giving. It's fun, it's interactive and there's so much to do even after completing the storyline. Shooting the army, mercs, zombies, monolith. It's the perfect setup of a game to ready you for any multiplayer game out there

Leaving Dillon and hearing SKS shots shortly afterwards to find him dead later is like something out of a movie.

@@unknown20005 I'm gonna be honest, companies do that more often than not. Deep Rock Galactic, Minecraft, Factorio, Terraria, just to name a few. On the other side, companies being assholes to modders is a very rare thing, which only makes these bad companies be avoided like the plague.

Love the idea of a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. DayZ conversion, but the bullet sponge MOBs are buzzkill for me. Even if they took perhaps half the rounds needed to kill, the game would still be tough. But at least it would also feel more balanced. Love your content regardless and the priceless interactions you seem to have the good fortune to stumble upon. Keep going with this one series, please!

The sad part is that it's not really that they're bullet sponges, although some of them are, it's that the hit detection is so bad on re-skinned models that the damage isn't even registering because the reskinned models don't change the hitboxes. So anything that behaves like a wolf has the hitbox of a vanilla dayz wolf. Unless you see them visibly flinching, they're almost certainly not even taking damage.

The developers also have an RP server that they focus more on. They balanced the mutants in a way that encourages people to play together. So when you are alone it does feel like they are bullet sponges, but not when together with other ppl.

Kinda seems to be the opposite of Stalker monsters. There they can die fairly quickly, if you hit them properly, but they equally murder you extremely quickly. If that in the beginning were proper Stalker pigs he'd be toast. Remember that noob trap starting quest where you have to kill them? That's almost cruel to throw new players that way. This mod definitely needs some more work.

I hope that Dylan and Joseph watch this video and you guys can reunite for another round.

look up for stalker gamma man! i always loved stalker games and recently discovered grok's stalker gamma! dude you'll just be amazed to what the comunity does in terms of gameplay and immersion! if you have a mid end pc and at least 16gb ram on it you must play it! just spent two weeks on it hahahahhahaha!

DayZ is a natural place for STALKER to be modded into. It already has the hopelessness built in, just needs the places, monsters, and anomalies. When I played on this server (probably a month ago) I was really impressed with it.

The ending was heartbreaking. Definitely captures the feel of the zone

I wish the actual game got a multiplayer type of a co-op to be able to play with your buddy or two to explore the zone and do missions together.

The RP servers are pretty wild too. Here's my story of what happened in my first 2-3 days in a Stalker server. Within my first few days, I was given a task by Duty to go and kill a Freedom member. I gathered a small group of loners and we successfully found a Freedom member all by himself just down the street from his base. We held him up and I put a shotgun to the back of his head and killed him. We got back to the Duty base to turn in the armband and the leader pulled us to the side. Within seconds the room was flooded with other Duty members with their guns out telling us to put our hands up. Undenounced to me, the loners I was with were part of a small underground group that were a real thorn in the side of Duty and their allies. One after another I watched 3/4 people I was with get executed (character killed) in front of my eyes, while the final one was kept as prisoner for intel. Luckily I was able to talk my way out of the situation, barely escaping with my life. Then to find out shortly after getting as far away from Duty, as I was no longer welcome, the Freedomer I killed was the leader. I somehow turned 2 massive factions against me within the first few days of getting in the zone.

You said having to hold "F" to search was sketchy. This was put in place to avoid "gamer" moves like people looting bodies during active gun fights. This is a hardcore RP server, they have done things to make the game as immersive as possible and to avoid people doing unrealistic things. That said, I do agree the looting takes a bit too long, could be 1 or 1.5 seconds less

Honestly, it's about time. DayZ and S.T.A.L.K.E.R have been destined for a marriage since the mod initially came out. I still remember running through Electro with friends at the very start wondering when anomalies would be added.

Just a heads up, this kind of gameplay is quite rare, usually people just shoot you the second they see you even if you announce yourself with hands in the air so don't get discouraged if you get murdered all the time.

Man I loved the entire process of this video, enjoyed seeing you grow attachment to these other players, actually mourn them, all the while showing how wonderful Dayz can actually work for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Like experience. Would love if you did more of these.

Well I hope you play more of it, I know it's far-fetched, but I wanna see you run into "Joseph the first" or Dylan again, and have flashbacks to this video.

Great video, rip Dylan. This server is awesome, it's so brutal that I think these interactions are inevitable, one of my first lives I went with a squad of 8 guys into the swamp and only 2 of us made it back. It was one of the most memorable times I've ever had in a video game and combined my love of the Stalker series with the intensity of DayZ. Excited to see where it goes from here.

deaths in games like dayz are as close as we can get to the feeling of someone dying irl, because once they are dead it is almost impossible to find them again so they are basically gone forever. That and if the server has permanent deaths

My first experience with Stalker was playing a DayZ RP server, and as person who had a couple hundred hours of playing DayZ, this was my favorite experience. Everything from the map being an exact copy of Stalker’s to the intense RP with all the factions who are also RPing. It was so well done and it is definitely my personal favorite ways to play DayZ now. Like when my friend and I found the server when he was just starting to get into DayZ, we couldn’t stop playing it for like 2 weeks nonstop.

That was such an emotional story with tension, twists, and turns, all of it unscripted! That was so beautiful, and I cannot wait to see more

That was such a good story video with a typical STALKER twist at the end. The mutants shouldn't take that much damage, may as well be fighting with spud guns and pea shooters. I played many hours of Stalker since it first came out in 2006 and this video had me right back in the zone. I rarely play multiplayer but I know the feeling of immersion when facing uncertain situations (IRL as well as in games) with others; human nature takes over because it feels real and lasting friendships are formed because of these experiences. I have to try this STALKER with a Z.

This was dope as hell Day Z is such a horribly underrated and over-hated game, and this server set up is awesome. Maybe a little too punishing, but still great just to see how far people can push a platform.

I've been playing DayZ since it was a mod for Arma in its beta form. Man....I miss those early days.

7:21 When I played the original STALKER a long time ago, this is the exact spot I got hooked to the game, bandits and loners started shooting at each other and I was stuck in that little booth in the crossfire. It was the most memorable firefight I've ever had, seeing it in DayZ brings back nostalgia.

Drewski will 100% be stoked when Stalker actually puts a multiplayer mode in.

There are a couple things that seem very off about this game to me, one is the amount of bullets you gotta put into those things, having to put all of your ammo into a random pig when it's already so scarce seems very overkill, it doesn't seem like you are just holding on and making a stand, it seems like an inevitability that you'll eventually run into enough pigs to kill you. The other one is how unnecesarily long all looting animations are, didn't quite see healing animations but looting and cooking seemed again, very overkill, it's like the game is artifiacially trying too hard to be hardcore and forgetting about making survival fun/interesting Personally, I think they could've made the boars do twice as much damage but die in a couple shots, make the animations like 30% faster and keep resources just as scarce This is all opinions off of one run on an edited yt video tho so I might be way off, it's just the vibes I got, game seemed like a chore to play instead of a challenge

It looked like all the stalker creatures were given too much health. The snork at 28:00 took forever to kill, while the DayZ zombies only took a couple shots. Balance that, and the experience would've been better (and the video wouldn't have ended the way it did).

Hey Drewski....jump.... usually helps with those inventory bugs lol. You get caught on something and that occasionally happens, usually jumping will fix it.

Hello Drewski, I am pretty much hyped seeing you played This Mods. That also encourages me to play stalker before. I've never see the game which still alive also. Years back when I played there I was all messed up with no ammo... ended in DUTY outpost. Chilled there until one of the guys went to BAR to get a doctor. 10 min later a squad of Monolith show up and wiped everyone including me. 10/10 immersion, zone is no joke.

Cant wait until Ray of Hope makes real co-op for stalker

I played on stalkerz for a little while late last year, it's a great server but one of very few english servers that get highly populated (If not the only english server that gets populated, i never find other english servers that have high or even medium amounts of players) , it's usually really hard to get into the server unless you're willing to pay for whitelisting, depending on the time of the day you're trying to get in. Still one of the funnest dayz servers i've played on. We got to do a raid on the dead city with the majority of the whole server one day, i hit a gravity anomaly in the first push and got sent flying 40ft into the air! I hit the ground and got knocked out, one of the medics rushed over to revive me only for me to walk into another gravity anomaly 10ft away. I died this time, but it was one of the funniest things to ever happen to me in dayz.

Love the video, DayZ is a great game and I'd love to see more of it
