As someone who just came back to dark and darker - multiclassing looks like a fun chaotic time, but i need to level so much to make use of it that in pretty sure it will be removed before im done grinding. Really hope they jusy change it to a skill tree or put heavy limits on it - otherwise this game is gonna be goofy as hell and even less balanced for new players to come in and have a good time

This game has never been balanced and has a high skill ceiling that’s not changing anytime soon, maybe when they get the game to a point where all classes are in the game and done.

Especially since the multiclass is RNG as well. Yes they have re-rolls and yes it's a bit easier to get exp and level up, however the system will always favor those who can put hundreds of hours a month into it. I used to be able to play a lot more games, but with the back and forth of GBMM its not fun to get back into it right now. My experience has been so far, go in white lobbies and try to farm exp so I can try to multiclass, However people are already high level and I get 1-2 tapped by invis barb or rogue with a windlass cb. Or i'd go into high roller lobbies with little to no gear and more or less the same thing happens. It's not a skill issue, I can safely farm troll or cyclops some times and get out but that's one out of every 10 games, so I can't be bothered anymore. The only class I can safely farm with is ranger where I trap a room and clear it before moving on or rat until I get a portal. I will say however duos and trios in white lobbies are still fun to play regardless of multiclass or not since the TTK is still night and day compared to HR. Maybe, like just maybe add the multiclass tokens available for purchase with red and blue shards? Give the 9-5 worker a little help and actually get to experience the multiclass system without having to dump dozens upon dozens of hours into the game?

@@kingabstract2288 agreed - I just think adding in multiclassing has added an even deeper gap than what is healthy for the game (in addition to the issues it introduces at high level play). I used to appreciate some of the rock paper scissors style balancing that was in the game - but now instead of rock paper scissors everybody has a gun

Leveling is extremely fast now. Just playing norms from a new char, level 20 will take less than 1.5 hours to hit, and you'll have close to 2k gold easily.

It breaks every aspect of the games identity. There’s no longer set classes really it’s just whatever. I can be a barb that turns into a demon and shoot you with spells if I wanted. Or I can be a rogue that whips out a warhammer after being invis in a corner and ruin your day

It’s cool besides the fact I just had to run from an iron will fighter as a wizard. (60MDR & 157hp)actually couldn’t hurt him with 66% mag power bonus and 8 true 2 additional.
