A cheaper paint job, fa sho. But yeah - a wrap and a new paint job are two entirely different beasts. If you want to permanently change the color (or if your paint is in really bad shape), then there certainly isn't anything wrong with a new paint job at all.

That Multi Cam wrap looks so sweet & Badass , but lots labour involved to do it right! .. Something I would consider on a new vehicle vehicle foresure! . Pull the wrap off years later & still have a factory paint finish. I did a Raptor Paint job myself for about $650 material cost that I quite happy with. A great product & also has that Badass Look look that got the "Dope Bro" comments while driving around town .

I thought about doing a wrap on my GSXR, saw the cost and realized I could do it myself cheaper with real Duracoat instead.

Love you, man, but this was maddening. Pro-Tip: play this back at 1.50x at least. He finally mentions something about the cost starting around 10:56, but not really until 14:20 when he doesn't say how much it costs but has the tech give an estimated range for a truck this like. Full disclosure, I gave up at this point. Since day one people have asked how much and how long does it last. Such an easy question. Adults understand there are qualifications and prices may vary. "Total cost was $_____. That included the wrap and material cost of $_____and the labor cost of $____." Done. "Wraps like mine, installed by a professional as I have done, are estimated to last between _____months/years and _____months/years. In my use case, I'm expecting _____months/years. Average city use should expect around ______months/years." Done.

I totally agree. Most people watching his vids either drive Tacomas or are working on buying a Tacoma, and we want an idea of what it will cost to get some of our favorite items off of HIS truck. Realistically most people can't afford everything he's done to his, I think that's safe to say. One thing that I'm wondering is if he actually doesn't know what it cost since it was probably given to him to test and advertise. I think that's the case for a lot of his gear. I personally would appreciate it if he'd just be honest and say hey guys, this was given to me for free so I can't honestly give you a realistic quote on what it will cost.

3M MULTICAM wrap for a truck is $3.6k to $4.2k USD. Based off of needing 340-410sqft. Multicam wrap is about $11/sqft. This is for rich people, businesses, or people that get it for free. FULL PRO installation is another $4-$5k. BOTTOM LINE: You are looking at $8-$10k for a wrap that will last about 2-3 years if you are rough. You can get 2 BOMB ass paint jobs for that price. Scratch the shit out of your truck and then go get it repainted. The argument that you are protecting it is null when price is factored in. New paint job is cheaper and will last longer.

14:30 to get a very, very beat around the bush answer for cost.

Dude doesn't pay for shit... It's all 'in exchange for his unbiased' whatever; there's a reason companies engage in this behavior - it results in a substantially higher percentage of positive reviews - no matter what the reviewer says.

Great video. I totally agree with using a reputable install dealership. My guys here in San Antonio, TX #wrapyourride were well versed in the intricacies of the wrap. The offered the best customer service. I do recommend the ceramic coating. Especially with all the people touching your wrap. I was told 70% alcohol needed to be used to remove it. Our trucks are head turners.

Great video, I have wrapped 3 trucks so far. Hopefully, your wrap has a UV coating. Be prepared within 5 years( I live in Florida so somewhere not as hot = lasting longer). it will start cracking and it is a royal pain to take off. A heat gun will help. Ceramic coatings were not around when I wrapped mine. Multi-cam is badass.

Looks great! People don’t realize all that’s involved w this I do vinyl work (not wraps) but get asked about them all the time

Toolbox, look into the greys, something close to RAM's OEM color, but in matte. Every truck I've spotted with it has looked gorgeous. Especially the Power Wagons. And a hint of burnt bronze never hurts. 🤙 May or may not be my plans. 🤷‍♂️

Can you get the same wrap for a bed shell?

As an insurance agent, I hope that you’ve called your insurance company and added the aftermarket equipment to your policy as an endorsement to the policy. Without doing that, in the event of an accident, nothing besides the base vehicle is going to be covered. Awesome video as always and keep on keepin’ on! 💪🏼

Very insightful. I have a 03 Tundra AC 4x4 with 40k miles. I've been considering a wrap for just my roof due to the paint wear and tear beginning to show vs taking to a paint shop. A lot to consider it appears, as I would hate for the paint to be peeled once the wrap is removed

Great video as always! Personally, unless you're a super famous (and cool) You Tube personally and get materials sent to you and free or reduced labor, I don't think a wrap is anywhere near practical. First the cost vs lifespan is not good. Secondly I wouldn't be comfortable with some unknown people taking my brand new truck half apart. Third there's no guarantee what's going to happen when it finally comes time to remove it. I've seen 2 bad situations after removal after only 2 years on. For me, I can spend my 4 or 5 grand on soooooo much better things to make my truck cool, more off road worthy and all around more enjoyable. Just my humble opinion.

Now that’s what I call a ballin out while buggin out rig 💪💪 would do it to my Nissan Rouge, but I can’t justify the cost vs value of the car....

Great stuff Mike, definitely serious wrap shop. Congratulations, Taco looks great.

I have a matte OD wrap on my drift boat and something I found out really quickly is that matte wraps absorb oils extremely easily. I have oil droplets and whatnot that I’m assuming will be there for life. Can’t find anything that will get them off. If you find anything that removes these let me know!

Love this. Can I come check this out in person. Maybe at one of the stores. Or wherever it is convenient. I’m thinking of doing something. Thanks so much.

Awesome looking truck! would love to wrap my 2020 Toyota 4 runner when I get it but the Chicago weather just isn’t nice to new shiny toys lol... 8 to sometimes 16 hours sitting in the sun or snow just doesn’t seem to be practical for a wrap over here. I’m just Jealous and I had to let you know :^)

Did you ever consider a line-x'd quicksand paint job? If so, what made you choose the wrap option? I figure the line-x option would offer better protection, but then you'd be more married to it than a wrap. Cost is about the same it seems, around the $3-5k range.

I never really considered it - it's a rough texture that would just always be dirty (for me), and very permanent.

Maybe I missed it but did they have to match seems during the wrap? Looking at the suppliers website it doesn’t seem they have large enough pieces to wrap larger body panels such as the hood.

While I was on a hunting trip my wife had my truck wrapped in pink camo as a joke, made me keep it on for a few months. It was a fast wrap job, they stuck it on the panels and used a razor blade to cut on the edges, like the gas tank cover and around the windows. Very embarrassing driving around in a pink camo truck

I wonder if you can just wrap the lower half of truck? I also have a quickksand 2017 Taco love the color of your wrap . Go like top of door down. I live in Florida so dark is a no go on top .

This is peak first world. I’m assuming that if you are wrapping vehicles your Tacoma was purchased with cash and you have 50 other cars in your collection. $10k for 3-5 yrs so you can “look cool” is epic consumerism. All that said it looks badass and I want it. 😂

no only if you let the wrap fall apart by not taking care of it I charge a few hundred to remove wraps that are still not cracked all over.

Just paint the whole truck for those prices 🤣

Now I have to see how much a new paint job is! That would be like a ton of $$$'s on my Power Wagon! Yikes. Cool though. I am surprised that it only lasts 5 years typically.

Yeah, all depends on the care and exposure to the elements (largely UV) - but definitely not a super long term thing.

Okay, my son earned a full ride to college and then got a grant so he actually is making money going to college. I bought him a Jeep (2006 LJ) The paint is bad but he likes to offroad. This helped me decide to do a wrap. We are in Colorado Springs. I will use Front Range when he comes home this summer. I want a gray multicam. Where can I find the 3M product?

Would it work for a 4runner??

Aloha. Looked into wrapping my car and I got quoted $5k and I have a sedan. Any idea if you will make a holster for the P-10F with an Olight PL-Pro Valkyrie OWB for competition? I can’t find any that have Olight in their list. I know you mainly do AIWB holsters
