I'm glad that you talked about why you chose to do some catch and release for this trip. When you have a pretty good thing going you dont want to ruin it. I'm a high school ice fishing coach and this year our team is fishing in a few catch and release tournaments. I feel like this episode helps show our kids that we are all trying to help preserve these great fisherees.

Love the multi species. There’s little as much fun as catching something unexpected. Caught an 8 pound rainbow on a lake where a rainbow has never been caught or stocked while chasing Lakers in haliburton county Ontario (since learned that the next lake down the chain does have rainbows, so that must have been its entry. ) Soooooo fun.

Nice change up form keying in one one certain fish to doing a multi species of fish. Looked like lots of fun. Another fun show to watch and learn from.
