Man ain't nothing like throwing a cast net my younger years I used to throw a 16 and a half footer I was either catching mullet or tilapia I'm 52 now but I can still throw at 12ft like it's a 6-ft I've been commercial fishing doing this since I was 14 like I said I'm 52 now and still kicking like a bull

been doing it for 25 years my dad benn a mullet fisherman for over 40 years n he raised 8 kids doing it n I learned from some off the best we fish year round not just in the fall try that spin shit in the summer time they'll smoke ur ass anyone one can catch a mullet in a million when the water temps low got to be a man about it n sling that bitch

I'm an Irishman living in Aus but still watched a whole documentary on the mullet run.. who eats it etc.. Most of the US look like they are missing out.

This said by a person who has several fish tank videos. Throwing a 14' 20-24lb net time and time again takes effort and a half spin build momentum and less brute strength. But I am sure you can do this all day long, probably one handed :)

@@Gotafish1 I'm a 3gen mullet fisherman n cast net daily for a living so ya I know what I'm doing n talking about when you try that in the summer when fish are fast n not cold in a big bunch they will be gone by the time you start to spin to throw the net

They are just dumping fishes here to make them Alive.. In the end.. When they start to move bak to the town.. They lift up all fishes into boat , This is a good way to keep your fish fresh..

It's more efficient. It's much easier to clear a net inside a hoop net Rather than on the deck of the boat. That way you can ready the net and throw faster
