Mujinga Kambundji from Switzerland won the Women's 60m World Athletics Indoor Championship Final in a time of 6.96s, representing a World Leading time for the Swiss Star.
The Medal Celebration took place at the beginning of the PM Session of Day 2 of the World Athletics Indoor Championships, Mach 19, 2022.
Kambundji, a native of Bern, the Swiss Capital, in the Swiss Canton of the same name, in the German Speaking part of Switzerland, faced a Star-Studded Line-Up, Six of the fastest women in the event (including herself).
Third place was decided by THOUSANDS OF A SECOND, as four athletes were officially listed with a time of 7.04 seconds on the results board.
Former LSU Tiger Mikiah Brisco from the United States won the Silver Medal in a time of 6.99s (PB), her compatriot Marybeth Sant-Price won the Bronze Medal in a time of 7.04s, representing a Personal Best time for the former Colorado State University Ram.
