In this video we collected bamboo shoots from our village bamboo garden for todays recipe. Today my sister-in-law will help me to cook. So we cook Tripura most popular traditional dish Chakhwi with bamboo shoots, amaranth stem and pork. Chakhwi is one of the most popular traditional tribal food of northeast India Tripura, which is often eaten by tripuri community people and also it is eaten by non-tribe people in Tripura. Chakhwi is millet soup made with soda, fermented fish, pork, bamboo shoots, vegetables, chilli, ginger, red lentils and sunned rice powder. Chakhwi also can be cooked with any vegetables. Firstly, in a cooking pan, water salt, edible soda or a homemade powder of ashes is added in the recipe. This mixture is then boiled, and green chilli added to it. A number of Tripura dishes are prepared without oil. Chakhwi is one of the representative dish of the state Tripura made of bamboo shoot and pork. This dish is one of the very traditional and very delicious and healthy preperation of Tripura cuisines and the main ingredients of Chakhwi is Bamboo Shoot, Pork and lentils. This is really delicious and healthy millet soup which is very easy to cook with the ingredients we have in our house. One must try this recipe at home. Ingredients given below.

1. Bamboo Shoots.
2. Pork.
3. Amaranth Stem.
4. Fermented Fish.
5. Green Chilli.
6. Ginger.
7. Baking Soda.
8. Lemon Leaves.
9. Sunned Rice Powder.
10. Red Lentils.
11. Salt.
