I've always felt he is trying to move too quickly. The guys in the top are a high step up, he should take his time needs to build experience.

Good fighter but needs to work on his striking. The wrestling will come easier once he hides it behind some more effective striking. UFC did the right thing holding him back from Pantoja

He knows exactly why he didnt get the title shot he was supposed to get that finish and got the decision in an unimpressive win🤣 The current champion has already beat most of the vets in the flyweight top 10 roster, some of em 3-4 times, the only new ranked matchups possible for UFC 301 were new blood in Mokaev (ranked 7) and Erceg (ranked 10) coming off of recent wins and injury free. Going off of what he said, the matchmakers clearly told him if u finish Alex Perez u get the next title shot and he had a lackluster performance over a vet like Perez. Meanwhile, Steve Erceg who is pretty close to him in the rankings impressively finished Matt Schnell who is the same caliber of opponent as Perez. If the current champ hadnt already ran thru the division both of em would have least 2 more fights before they earned a title shot.

For now. He’s 23, I agree boring. But once the finishes start coming he will be classed as elite. Watch this space.

Mo may have the most boring cowardly fighting style in MMA, if grounded knees were allowed this guys record would look very different.
