I’m not religious but I can still admit the teachings attributed to Jesus 2000 years ago are still seen as good and moral even by today’s standards. The same can’t be said about Muhammad.

None of these people ever attacked the Muslims in the Arabian Peninsula and you know that. So it wasn't self-defense because Muslims invaded all these countries unprovoked. You Muslims always blame Israel for taking the land of Palestinians, but Muhammad did the exact same thing that Israel is doing now. The only thing you're partly right about is that Muslims in the beginning were a very small minority. Very few people believed Muhammad's message because he never produced any evidence that he's a prophet. It wasn't until Muhammad started using violence and invaded Mecca that people started 'believing' in him.

Exactly. What if world history is analogous to our everyday lives? Meaning that we live day to day in a world where God touches people with powerful spiritual experiences, yet we also live in a world of guesswork and speculation for exactly HOW to interpret such God experiences? What if all of history is similar to this (including Israel), where it’s a mixture of legitimate God intervening experiences together with a lot of people just wrongly guessing at this or that interpretation (of those God experiences)?? I believe in powerful spiritual/mystic experiences, because there is a solid track record of people in all kinds of contexts being blown away by them and “Trying” to describe them” (and because I had one years ago myself). These experiences are convincingly CONTRARY to bloodthirsty or vengeful mindsets. Sometimes to me it seems like God is after people’s spiritual lives more than anything, and He simply looks past a lot of cultural specific absurdities. So that so many descriptions about what God “Says” are just incorrect guesses at describing what spiritual experiences mean. YET God is still touching people (albeit in the cultural contexts that they find themselves in). IMO, it just doesn’t work (arguments for or against God) if you aren’t spiritually looking at things through a lens of this life being a fleeting moment of reality that ends (just one chapter of reality). And for those who would object to that being an excuse to waste THIS life, you have no idea how incredible spiritual experiences are if you haven’t had them!! We have a built in concept of morality, but we need to always reexamine ourselves for inconsistent cultural indoctrinations. When you “Verbally argue for” certain things that you repeatedly “Practice the opposite of” in your day to day life, then something is off with your philosophy of ethics, and you need to reexamine yourself for indoctrination flaws. We need more basking in pure bliss with God’s presence!! And less arguing about technical/historical data points. If you embrace the former much more than the latter you won’t even have to try, your day to day actions will become more of a positive influence on the world than even the most technically brilliant arguments from a theology/history/philosophy/psychology/science/etc mastermind. I’m not calling the academic side of things useless at all, but the people who “Live out a Godly life” have a more positive powerful influence BY FAR than any technical argument. People who live Godly “Convert” more people than expert debaters who live hypocritically. This used to baffle me for a long time when I was in my obsessive phase of watching debates (when I would just view such a pattern as a “Genetic fallacy”). It doesn’t baffle me anymore, because I think that it actually emphasizes the point of what God places more weight on.

I had lots of questions my parents explained it. they said let us imagine our Guru has saved them from Muslims and from dying what does this action indicate?? people will say oh they are saved by god because they are the chosen ones we are not or their father (our 10th guru) saved them but pushed common people to war to die No, he set an example to save Sikhs and our Religion "I have sacrificed everything I have, Do not fear fight against evil, even if it means sacrificing your family do not fear death, make an honest living and share with others, have god in heart, leave this material attachment". After establishing Muslim rule in India they started to convert people by word or sword, in our case they would skin our people alive in front of the crowd so they could spread fear and convert, Muslims used to make everything public they would round up people snatch their newborn babies toss them in Air pierced their heart with spears and cut newborn babies body parts make a necklace out of them and hang them around their mother's neck make them wear it so they can convert and people can spread this news so when they go to other villages people know what to expect and prepare their mind in the wait of this fate and convert to Islam when they are in their village. But those mothers did not convert their husbands promised beautiful wives and how many they wanted (because our religion was only allowed two, now only one) gold (don't get me wrong, many converted) but they did not convert to Islam so this was a hard task for Muslims to convert Sikhs even after so much torture. In the end, they failed we spread our empire from India to Afghanistan where those Muslims came from. and in our empire all were equal and our armies had Muslims who were with us and used to save Sikhs during the Muslim army killings. It is recorded that even Muslims from Afghanistan accepted these Sikhs after establishing our Emperor, people at that time didn't seek any revenge on Muslims and did not convert these people, all because the emperor was a very religious man and our religion teaches us not to raise swords on weak, woman, children, let other practice their religion without any interference and don't tax on them (like Muslims like to do on minority), everyone is equal. And til today he is the only man and non-Muslim who ruled Afghanistan. This is the main teaching. sacrifice should be to save humans, no matter religion and cast, one should not kill another you have to fight evil not kill other people (what our gurus were saying, you fight those evil and bad not their religion or practitioners of that religion, kill those who are coming to kill you don't kill their honest practitioners just because they are from the same religion) or in today's term don't plant a bomb that will kill innocent people. People become what or think what their religion or parents teach them. If killing others because they don't convert, or killing animals just for taste, or raising an animal to be sacrificed, having multiple wives, making kids marriage to even older men, claiming your religion is the only true one, it is your burden to convert non-believers (and non-believers, because they don't believe in your god) by word or sword, and no Muslims will raise a question about when Hindu and Sikh, Christian minor girls were abducted while going to school and being converted forcefully and married to older men, where head priest from different religions when his daughter suffered this and no one took notice not even these peace-loving Muslims and many other things if this is what religion teaches then there is something wrong with that religion and needs to change

@@ikbolzhonovych1239 what do you think „fulfill“ means? Read the book of Hebrews, the whole point of that book is to explain it. The tldr version is that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice that pays for all sin, which is why we don’t need the Old Testament sacrifices anymore. The sign of the old covenant was circumcision of the flesh, whereas the sign of the new covenant is circumcision of the heart (Deut 30:6, Romans 2:29)

As an agnostic, among all religions. Jesus is the go to role model of what humans should be. He's the moral compass to those who are compassionate and peaceful. You don't need to believe in a God, you can just follow most of Jesus' teachings, not because of salvation but because of being a decent human being.

Yes, all the Prophets of God are an example for us to follow, not just Jesus(pbuh).By the wat, Jesus never showed us how to treat our wives or children as he never had any, neither did he teach us how to handle War situations, but Moses did and so did Muhammad (pbuh). Taqiya refers to a Muslim who has found himself in a deadly or hostile situation where of he announces his faith in God he is killed. And so the teaching is that God will not hold it against you if you deny Him in such a situation but will greatly reward you if you stand for Him and die.

I’m a Christian living in a Muslim country and it is refreshing to see genuine dialogue between our two religions. I have seen the worst abuses of Christianity and I have seen Christians at their finest. Likewise with Islam. At the end of the day, the majority of people get along well with each other.

I've never thought I'd sit and listen to 2/3 hour long podcasts, PBD has done a great job in bringing people with different ideas, opinions, cultures, background, anything on to his platform and allowing them to express their views, him being the mediator of the conversation, not butting in or stopping people from speaking. I don't even listen or watch mainstream media anymore. Podcasts like PBD, Joe Rogan, and a few others are the now and future.

When you study Buddhism or Christianity you realize they are religions like never before on earth, including spiritual, philosophical and ethical aspects, I cannot say the same about islam, Islam is totally empty, the most childish and violent, poor ethics. The Old Testament has violence but Christians think Christ brought the correct interpretation and described God as a loving father, of infinite love, for that reason those violent writings were marginal in Christianity, and the Bible is not like the Koran, it is composed with many books and not all of them have the same authority or influence.

Its absolutely insane to me how muslims can sit there and justify this violent and inhumane religion like that.

WHAT IS HE MEANING OF LIFE? To have a relationship with God on earth so you can spend eternity together in Heaven. So, what pushes me away from God? Sin (lying, unforgiveness, sexual sins from lust, dishonouring parents, steeling, taking the Lord’s Name in vain etc) which leads to hell. But Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead to give you the ability to repent and Believe in Him as your Lord and Saviour to go to Heaven. @@user-yo9oe5jk2m I have some underlying health issues which can lead to premature death, so I heard about fasting can help fix many issues so I decided to give it a go by dry fasting (no food or water) I could only do it for 1-2 days a week without feeling too weak, but a few months in my heart started racing and it let weaker and weaker. When I would eat something unhealthy it would race hard. One night it was racing hard and a tall figure in white appeared and was praying towards the picture of Jesus in my room, he said something like “please don’t let him die from a heart attack”, then soon after he disappeared and I heard the audible voice of God tell me some stuff then that voice stopped then I felt my body being lifted and life being pumped back into my heart and I was healed thank God, Jesus is God and He is very loving and a miracle worker.
