I have been to Kenya 5 times, and I also have a kenyan girlfriend (who is Kikuyu by the way) and when I hear this, it reminds me of the everlasting sunshine, the relaxed attitude of the Kenyans just chillin' outside next to their clothes shop, while the air is dry. And maybe there's a mother with a baby chilling too... Such peace and joy... In the land of sunshine. I love this!

I don't have a very good understanding of Kikuyu but am really impressed by the rhythm of Mugithii, the country music of Central Kenya. The strumming of the guitar in some of the beats is almost hypnotic. For sure there' s much to appreciate about each community. Lovely selections. Cheers

How I love this kind of music! And it's so simple: 1. Approximately 125 BPM 2. First beat: Main tone, switch to subdominant - Second beat, main tone, switch to dominant 3. Clave rhythm (3 hits, then 2 hits) 4. Kick drum on each beat 5. Jazz guitar playing some tones in major scale = You got yourself a Kikuyu song
