Bro, I consider Ryan to be the band's lead. If you listen to the scales, if he were running those licks on a guitar, it's all just pure shred. Greg is cool and all, but he's definitely holding down rhythm for Ryan.

I always felt like Mudvayne had a very unique element as a metal band. I would describe it as a Primus ingredient which pushes and pulls the groove from the rythm section pulsating in a unusual chaotic way. It feels like a wild freight train that is almost going of rails but is being pulled into form as the tempo goes from whatever direction is needed to another unique beat and feel. Like a human heart instead of something too robotic or controlled. It's friggin' wild, and I can't believe we're finally hearing this music again. They seem to be having fun, awesome!

Heard these guys at 17 and was like wow. I listened to Pantera and Metallica, Megadeth. But this was the only band that got me through all my wrong turns in life. I lost my drums at 25 for making wrong decisions. And I've been paying for those decisions since 2008. Now my health is bad. And I'm 39. A life wasted because of bad choices and bad influence. Essas imagens são excelentes, mas ainda estamos esperando uns vídeos do Ryan correndo pelo palco como toda criança levada quando se diverte. Obrigado, Mudvayne! Agradecemos a sua volta.

One of my influence in drumming. Not everyone can cover their songs without going through his drum patterns. Every note is well planned, them syncopated beats. 🔥🔥🔥

Matt is Extremely underrated & doesn't remotely get the recognition he deserves. no mag covers, drum covers, almost no spotlight moments at least that i've seen while the other 3 band members have been praised as musicians. Matt & Ryan bring a flavor & style to metal that separates them from the rest. i'm not a nu-metal fan! i'm old school Pantera, Sepultura, S.O.D, DOWN, SuperJoint Ritual but i went to a show and saw Mudvayne LD50 tour and they killed, i'm not a big fan of the others but that record is heavy, killer grooves and being a drummer caught my attention

Just started listening to Mudvayne again since I was a kid, but now more intently and Matt has got to be one of the best drummers. He definitely has some black metal influence (also by the band shirts he wears) and lots of crazy grooves which I love. His drumming on each album gets more impressive 🔥

Have always loved and studied Matt’s playing style and grooves. I have to disagree with all the “underrated” comments though. In the drumming community he has always been revered and respected as one of the greats. It’s nice see everyone else catching on! It’s great to finally see some good, quality drum cam footage of him playing.

For metal drummers out there I heavily encourage you to have an extra crash in your setup somewhere. This is the guy that inspired me to make that decision and I gotta say I haven’t even thought about looking back because I had a creativity spike as soon as I did it and it opens up so many possibilities.
