Mudlarking the Thames London | Human Remains Found | London sightseeing UK

Спорт

The long 2 year wait for Part 2 of mudlarking on the Thames and sightseeing in London! 🙌🏻😂
I thought the footage was lost, but stumbled upon it in the cloud, So had to finally realise it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time..usng out eyes only for searching.. iand can’t wait to get back there this year to see what further discovers we find!
It wasn’t until we returned home.. we realised we had also brought back part of human remains 😱..
A few weeks after we had found this.. further remains were found in the area we were mudlarking!

Tower of London is awesome. it was only on my visit there that I found out the CROWN JEWELS were not the crown and sceptre we always saw queen Elizabeth holding at special events, BUT it is a whole vault of different crowns and sceptres. the beef eater guards are so knowledgeable too. 👍

Ok firstly, braided hair. Drives me wild! But nevermind that, mudlarking is addictive,I’m mediocre at it,but my best find is a bit of Roman era floor tile with part of a dog pawprint pressed into it while it was still wet!! Found it in the same area as you were in this video.

Oh also, that red pottery with the black core, that’s post-mideival pottery, they kinda sucked at firing pottery back then, the black core is a sign of uneven firing techniques.

I’ve often thought about doing this, but it’s a two hour train ride down into London. Can you detect? I think I recall something about not being able to dig into the mud…

I believe there are only certain areas you can detect on the Thames, but I believe slot of those area are only accessible via a small boat.. where we were, was accessible by foot, but not detecting allowed. The information is on the London port of authority website, under Thames foreshore permits 😊 you can’t ‘dig’ but can scrape the surface.. it really was addictive just like detecting but eyes only☺️

When I posted it on the mudkarking page when initially found, a dentist confirmed it a very old and fossilised human tooth 🤷🏼‍♀️.. a week later the lower mandible was found on Bankside with missing teeth. I also X-ray teeth (and many other body parts ) in my profession.. and the lower back teeth roots on X-rays alone are large 🤷🏼‍♀️ I found many sheep / animal teeth there.. but non with with enamel like that ☺️
