Surely the slate with its owners name on top deserves a spot in the window of wonders. I enjoyed the haunting melody in this episode and the pottery clinging to the bank to be heard and noticed before its demise. Nice work ladies, as usual!

As soon as you pulled him from the mud I thought “switch man” was some sort of little lead figure of a person! Can’t wait to see what you do with him!❤Also, for the window of wonders I think the brightly colored piece of glassware that Gail found would be lovely in the sunlight.❤~TN Nana

Alex, I love the fact that you asked for a full sized bead after finding the 3 wee seed beads, and then you got a beauty! And Gail, that lovely bit of chain you found looks like a medieval woman's chain belt...totally random thought, but that's what it looks like to me...a wonderful lark with the two of you, as always, thank you!

Great lot of finds, the brass chain you found is similar to one we used to make in a brass foundry l used to work at, it is for hanging large pictures from rails, or large ornamental lamps from ceilings, we used to make it in different sizes, the links are usually split at one end for ease of assembly / shortening / lengthening and shaped to an internal point with the links concave inside so they keep the split links closed

I love Bonky wottles. I love them, and am constantly horrified at the fact that Parker’s in your country don’t take them! Please take them,I will purchase any that you find! The whiteheart bead. Lovely. I think they are formally referred to as Cornaline D’Aleppo beads, cherished in the trade bead world by native Americans. Interesting story: Louis and Clark, set out for the unexplored west. They brought chestfulls of beads,in anticipation of first contact with unknown tribes. Most were the whiteheart variety(I own 2,probably from this very expedition),and pure white, and a relatively small amount of light blues, padres, and whatnot. It turned out, that the native people of the Great Plains, they were not particularly interested in the red or white beads! NO! They cherished the light blue beads, sky beads, the color of the big sky! They went on to be named chiefs beads, because of their rarity, only the head honchos would posess them. I have a strand of cod marble sized sky beads from mid 19th century, they literally give a sensation from head to foot, when you place them around your neck.

The cursive on the bottle says Herbert Smiths & Sons. The decorative but chunky chain with traces of gold may have been burnt gilt and part of a decorative metal chandelier hung up with ornate chains? But I think only bronze and iron can be guilded that way. And it was copper, no? Lots of cool bits and bobs! Love the history told and the nature photography too! Merry Advent girls! 🎄🌟🕯️🕯️🕯️🔔❄️🍄

Very fun video Ladies with all kinds of little treasures!!! If you were to make a necklace with a handful of animal teeth Alex you could make quite a bit on your Etsy store as the wolves teeth Native American necklaces in Colorado and surrounding states bring alot of money!!! Just a thought? Wonderful vid as usual and always enjoy your hunts! 👍👍👍👍👍
