    Fun video Shane! Spent some time in Scotland a few years ago at the British Open in St. Andrews. The weather is so crazy there. In July on the last day of the Open, we had rain, some snow, fog, and then a clear blue sky. Would go back there in a heartbeat. Thanks for sharing.

    Razor clam shell. Delicious, fresh! The broken shells you held up were Buccinidae. The one with the barnacle on its dorsum looked like Lussivolutopsis. Put that carrot on a key leash, amigo. Sorry that the unreliability of the AT Pro diminished your enjoyment of the trip! That is really sad - and it is hard to take a back-up with you on a trip. Yeah, you need at least an Equinox, for those salt beaches.

    im half french half Scots and my dad was a seafood chef (hence him falling in love not only with the old dear but firstly Scottish seafood lol) and he would catch razor clams by looking on beach for their little clues of where they are under the sand. He would then pour salt into their hiding place, mimicking the salt water from the sea coming in at high tide.... they come SHOOTING up out the sand like rockets! lol. And taste delicious btw

    Seeing the Ocean low tide like that brings back memories from when I was England in 1959 and 1960, my mother was from England, my Mom and Dad met during WWII, I was born in the States, but my Mom wanted to move back to England so in 1959 my Mom and I went there, I guess to scope things out, then in 1960 we moved there, but my Dad could not find a job so we ended up moving back to Iowa. I went to the Ocean a couple times and it was awesome when it was low tide, you could walk forever before getting to the deep water. I remember that huge Rippled beach. They used to have trams all over back then and steam locomotives pulling passenger trains. I remember they used to have Fish shops right by the Ocean and Fresh fish hanging outside, even large Lobsters. I do remember smells from there that bring back memories. Was was really neat. But I am Living in Florida now and there is No Gold here (not in Florida Ground) unless you find an old ship wreck.

    If you go to the Cairngorm mountains, very rarely you can find smoky quartz, and even more rarely beryl and topaz. However, despite just being smoky quartz, Cairngorm quartz has a very high value as it's so rare, and was queen victorias favourite stone

    Well I didn't get to detect much due to my detector going bananas from the saltwater, but did get some neat finds there in the backyard in Stirling. No hammered or romans, maybe next time! I didn't have a permission on a field that would've been really cool. I found the bottle next to a field in a forest north of Burntisland in a public forest. I did not keep anything I found, I put it back right were i found it. Thanks for watching!

    I suggest before you go on a trip, set up a gathering or meeting of someone in that country or meetings. Not long ago, chiggs. N several ppl went to England on group hunts. Plus had a very recent gathering in Texas. They found very old coins in englad n texas you won prizes, coins, jewelry and civil war items..if you found a certain tokens. You also win a prize. Plus drawings n more. All by Garrett. Maybe ML will hv one. Btw. Did you get the newest pinpointer by ML ? The 35. It discriminates iron vs not. Maybe Xray stuff messed up the detector.. As long as you hv fun. Btw. Other ppl i watch with patreon vids show them to public about 4 days to a week later then public ones.. so you still get additional views.

  • @Klesh

    @Klesh

    6 жыл бұрын

    Hi Annette, I know. I don't like setting up meetings or anything. That goes against what this hobby is for me. I really don't care about finding old coins or prizes or anything, I just like getting out there and away from everything and everyone that's what it's all about for me. My Garrett AT Pro is better now and the next day I did some metal detecting in a very historical area and it worked fine, so that was great! You might enjoy that video a bit more. On Patreon I have video specifically for Patreon supporters of the channel ($1 per month pledge) and also release all my videos as soon as they're edited and rendered directly to Patreon for the $5 per month pledges. You need to go metal detecting in a roman field in the UK. Would also be interesting for you to do another video of the value of all the gold you have collected .... just a thought. Great videos!

    The next video is coming in 3 days with some metal detecting in a pretty sweet area in the UK, I think you'll like it. All the gold I've collected is mostly already given away to those that visit my live streams on KleshGuitars TV, but I still have a good amount left. The best way get a total would be to actually go through my videos and add up the gold totals I suppose! Thanks for watching!

    the bottle was blown to the shape of 2, 1/2 molds, mechanical insertion of a needle to the cork end of the bottle and then compressed air is forced into the molten glass inside the molds to expand the molten glass and end thus the engravings on the outside of the bottle.

    This video's beach location reminds me of a Scottish mudlarking duo (mother and daughter) I watch on KZread. They search beaches for sea glass and forage Scottish dumps for relics. Just last month (April 2022) they found a 1906 half sovereign (gold coin) at an old dump site. Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime find.
