    As long as everyone realizes there isnt a 100% perfect solution and always a trade off this unit in its efficiency and ease of operations and maintainence plus the fact the quality of workmanship coupled with the tried and true Shwing Corporation makes this an investment worthwhile a much better parts network and that being said, this is a winner hands down just my opinion.

    @@MuddyfeetConcretePumping Thank you sir, seems like people spend more time criticizing and ridiculing things instead respecting ideas and supporting those that are taking chances to improve the common hard working man and creating ways to possibly help make things a bit easier and more productive but I've found it's usually internet trolls just speaking out the side of there faces trying to get a rise out of folks or a total loser that's desperately trying to make themselves feel better and don't have a clue on the subject there chiming in on. People get off there butts and spend a day with a concrete operation wouldn't last a minute and couldn't possibly get excited about a new tool of the trade. I do concrete work up here in Washington state and it is a hard way to make a living.

    I can totally see the benefits of having this around. One, on a job that you’ll be at for an extended period of time and need to move constantly. Another would be tight spots because of how well it’s able to maneuver and accommodate endless set ups.

    I could most definitely see the appeal of this machine to outfits whom already have a skid-steer and maybe pour concrete typically only once or twice per week (eg: Landscaping contractors).

    Hauling a trailer with a skid steer, the pump and the hose could possibly put you over 26000 lbs. Then you need an operator with a CDL. Over all cost of the trailer, skid steer and pump would be more than a towable pump. Just a thought?

  • @terrycannon570
    @terrycannon5707 ай бұрын

    Jef I can already see some downsides compared to a trailer pump. #1 where do you carry your hoses? Trailer is self-contained and can be towed anywhere. The Mud Deamon requires the Skid steer auxiliary power. I am sure the concrete community sees a need for this but for my money I would go for the trailer pumps. Thanks for bringing us along.

  • @JB_Machine

    @JB_Machine

    Obviously in place of the trailer pump you would need a trailer to haul the skidsteer and pump, still put hose on truck bed.

    I see this being an upside for a flatwork contractor. If they are not a place and finish only then they most likely already have a skidsteer on the job for grading. Most trailer line pumps have no room for hoses anyway. So that isn't an issue.

    It depends on the horse power. Usually attachments like a mower or stump grinder require the high flow. Jack hammers and grapples don’t.

    Buying, maintaining and transporting a skid primarily for moving the pump and providing hydraulic power might not be a great allocation of capital. Someone else mentioned that transporting the skid, pump w/truck and trailer could push the delivery driver into a CDL weight rating, I think that's probably true. 20 GPM/2500psi hydraulic flow requires a +- 40hp engine driven hydraulic pump unit. A 40hp separate hydraulic power unit could be built for under $10,000 using a big Vanguard or Kohler engine. $10,000 VS $60,000-100,000 for a skid? OTH, the concrete pump might be too high if mounted permanently to a trailer. Lowering the concrete intake shrouds might help with that. Another thought would be to offer a specialized drop-deck tag trailer to lower the concrete pumper..OR offer an auger feeder that loads concrete into the pumper shroud. .

    a power buggy, like a concrete bucket, is also a mean that have an intermittent supply of concrete where a pump is a more constant and adjustable one... The power buggy will also do a mess on grass 'cause it's heavier than the hose where just a tarp would keep it away from plowing the garden everywhere it lay...
