Mud volcanoes - Beciu, Romania

Just South of the mighty bend of the Carpathians on Romania's soil, in Buzau county, lies a quite big area with mud volcanoes. The deep high pressure gases push towards the Earth crust while taking along for the ride water and clay. Where it finds an way out, it forms craters and an otherworldly landscape.
These ones are the mud volcanoes of Beciu, where the liquid mud pushed by the gases looks like boiling, but actually it is not. Just the gas play.
