Mooie video Jeroen!

Definitely not their first Rodeo with this type of situation and they'll fix those fields when it drains out or freezes up. Getting it off is a must and those cows will get some extra minerals from a little mud mixed in 😅

I understand environmentalists claim that all ploughing/cultivation is bad for the soil. Would this guy have to do more than plough again when he can?. Genuine question, you may well know more than I do here.

@johnryan7932 I'm actually a conventional farmer in Ireland. These fields are destroyed, between the soil structure being totally ruined and the compaction of the subsoil underneath creating a hardpan... these fields will take a long time to get back right again... which is probably why they are so wet in the first place. They were ruined once and are sacrificed every year.... and the funny thing is that, we can and do get fined for cattle poaching the land, but if you grow Maize, you can completely destroy it and there's nothing said about it. It does look cool seeing the machines and action and seeing what they are capable of, I love machinery. But this is total messing.

@MadMarky Are you mental? These machines aren't even driving on the top soil anymore, they are driving on the subsoil underneath and compacting that. These fields are fucked. Edit to say... they are only using these machines because of how wet the field is and they would ruin the road, bringing tractors out. Also, its and added cost having to dump the trailer and load another one to transport it.... not to mind the contamination of the Maize created by dumping it in the field... see the tracked machine reversing into dump the load in the pile... they are bring mud in with them. What they are doing here is total bollixing.
