Toyota Gazoo Racing team-mates Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä will go head-to-head for Safari Rally Kenya supremacy after Saturday’s final stage blew the victory fight wide open.
On a day when Toyota GR Yaris cars topped the timesheets in every single stage, Ogier looked set to end this penultimate leg comfortably in front of his championship-leading colleague, the Frenchman happy to measure his pace and keep a watchful eye on those behind after overcoming tyre damage in SS8.
But a sudden downpour in the closing 31.04km Sleeping Warrior caused chaos. The dry and dusty roads quickly turned to mud and offered minimal grip in conditions akin to ice.

The footage is actually from WRC but Red Bull Rally manage to beat both WRC and Dirtfish by miles

Rally Kenya lives up to its name this time around, really pushing the drivers and cars to the limit and the drivers are enjoying it for the most part, their sprirts are high.

@@speldi2095in Naivasha 76km from Nairobi. Plus a safari rally can’t be held in the city with all the high rise buildings and human/car traffic.

I think that Kalle has a very good chance of winning again. Ogier has started well, but with today's double punctures ending, he may start to feel hunted. Chances are that TOYOTA GAZOO will finish like last year, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place in 2023 WRC Safari Rally Kenya. 🏁

Love this rally. Always throws every challenge possible at the drivers and cars. No wonder it has such legendary status. Red Bull Rally on the top step of the podium as usual, just killing it with their highlights package.

Back in the day Group B cars would race all over the country covering over 5,800km. Heaters would be on to cool the cars. Insane. 🤣

Lappi was clearly messed up by Hyundai ostensibly to deny him his much deserved podium position. It's no coincidence that the car got the failed propshaft issue immediately after lunchtime service and when Lappi had just climbed up to P3. In Hyundai, if its not Neuville at the front, then no one will be at the front. I now understand why Tanak terminated his contract with Hyundai.

I do realy love auto rally.But I'm affraid of animal cross the track of rally...I love animal too...Hopefuly no accident happened wth animals...🙏🙏
