Joseph Dockemeyer that is what elvis did and the sex pistols. Kurt wasn’t punk but he emulated Sid ( hence why he chose his baby mum to look like Sid vicious woman) Sid vicious and Johnny Rotten were two of Kurts heroes. It's impossible to interview nirvana buddy. That's why he had to try and manipulate the questions in such a stupid way, but nirvana was like the 3 stooges. They never took any of them seriously. But at the same time they'd contradict themselves a bit by complaining that they don't like what the press labels them as, so he's basically asking what would you like your style of music to be called. You have to remember that just a year before nevermind it was all Las angelas glam metal and shit so nirvana was an entire new sound to the masses. I understand both points of view. Nirvana didn't want to be labeled as anythung. If you like the music then listen, but I also understand the interviewer trying to figure shit out for the masses. And as anyone as all these interviews were to the band I'm certainly glad they did them all because this content is such gold for me and many fans that didn't have the money to see them luve, or weren't old enough or even born yet, to see nirvana and their personalities..
Krist refused to not be himself and I think that’s why him and Kurt worked so well. He leaned on him for like 90% of their interviews too lol

8:49 Kurt is finally tired of the questions and the interviewers stupidity
Can you imagine...being in your early to mid 20's ..the prime of your youth..that youthful vigor ,the strength and vitality and the world is so fresh and new still...and your being interviewed and your band is the most popular band in the world...what a feeling..what a time to be alive...this is awesome in so many ways..its like literally traveling through time and witnessing a moment that will never happen...1991..I was 18 and I can remember how the world was...it was such a different time...I truly miss those days...its crazy how time has flown. I seen nirvana when they came to Florida and it was magical that night 🌙 they were on their game..the set list was great and everyone played perfectly ...I'm glad I was alive then and had that experience in my youth...my advice to anyone young ..go out and live..live and travel ,do things and make memories that will last..experience things that you never have before...trust me,it goes by fast...

Yea which is why I don't like working a job or any job >:( it takes up so much of our time man 😔
4:31 Kurt's laugh 😂
Within the first 10 secs of this interview, betw pronouncing it as “Nir-vanna” and asking, “are Nirvana still a punk band,” Kurt, Krist, and Dave all knew they were gonna make a mockery of the interviewer. Lol. Man, I ❤️ these guys.
15:56 idk why but I found what Kurt was doing cute af

Interviewer: " I'm sure you dislike labels but then where do you see that your music fits in? " Kurt: " In Rock and Roll " ... *shit eating grin* I..fucking..love how they handled the first line of questioning, especially that part. If I want to listen to some Metal, I'll have to become familiar with 9 variations of it.. and which sub genre's are seemingly at odds with which. At best it's very tiring, certainly pointless. Come to think of it that is exactly what made Nirvana exceptional, they didn't complicate it or limit themselves to appease anyone. If you know their music through and through, they touch on a wide range of musical styles.. and some that I personally have no comparison for.

Wide range of musical styles? Every one of their songs sounds the same, they just put the 3 chords in different order... and went a little slower on a few
these days music is extinct. I miss these guys
"DGC Hardcore" is actually a really clever pun. I love how everyone just missed that completely.....

Kurt is so cool that he falls and the camera doesn’t even catch it... 😂😎
Kurt is smart and such a Leader, when a question is about Producer Director or an Important Person, he answers with fact and sense. xoxo
I love the bass players pot head philosophy I never knew he was so funny he takes on the whole interview
The interviewer was fine. These guys are not easy to interview. I enjoyed this.

I love Krist so much. He's always been such a fun guy. I'm sure he and Kurt would still be best friends today.

No. They were pretty estranged by 1993
i feel so much love for these three beautiful gods
I love that they jive well. They have much respect for each other.
This is probably my favorite Nirvana interview. I love them all :)
Krist has the BEST personality!! He would keep me laughing all day long! Kurt was so dreamy and just misunderstood. I just time travelled back to my teenage years.. 🤷🏻♀️💕💕

I'd LOVE to be around him. My friend's in Mt Vernon, WA, her hubby knows him, she's been around him several times. He's Congressman now, she said he's still got dry humor.
Damn, this is my favorite Nirvana interview that I've seen. They seem so happy and honest
