Maatschap Kroese 's avonds aan het mais hakselen met hun New Holland FX450.
Naast de hakselaar rijden een John Deere 7710, John Deere 6820 en een John Deere 6910 met kippers.

That's a heavy crop! - no wonder she was choking on it now and again - and I like the way you caught the almost mystical aura of them working in to the fading light - well done.

Thank you. The harvester had a few minor issues with the fuel supply (either glitch in the diesel pump, or some bits of rubble in the tank, as it was nearly empty), that's why it choked a few times.

Dankje Jan. Zo lang die diesel krijgt wel ja ;) Af en toe ging die plots staan, ze dachten aan iets met de brandstofpomp (elektronische pomp die wat storing had), of rommel in de tank (was bijna leeg, dan komen er soms vuiltjes in).
Very nice, Niels, lovely sound from that 7710.

Dank u. Tja, regels bedacht door politici (zogenaamde melk komt uit een pak principe, of eten komt uit de fabriek), dat er van alles aan die nieuwe onderzaai regel mankeerde weet iedereen, maar politici zullen het wel weer als 'groot succes ' bestempelen en boeren hebben zich er maar aan te houden.

A Maatschap is a legal entity, but the legal construction is somewhat difficult to describe and I'm not sure there is a direct translation into English. I think translating it into companions comes closest, they each bring something into the company and together they share the profit (or loss) which can be based on the amount or what they contributed to the company (labour, material, housing etc). For farmers the Maatschap usually consists of family members, father and sons or 2 brothers for example.
