MTHFR & Methylation: The Big Picture - Part One with Coleen Walsh, MFA, MNT

Almost half of the population has a defect in the MTHFR gene, and even more people have Methylation SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms or genetic mutations). The MTHFR SNP is at a key position in the Methylation Cycle and if not working properly, it can affect the whole pathway - creating symptoms and disease.
While methylation cycle abnormalities can predispose us to disease, epigenetic factors can help guide our recommendations and protocols. This webinar will present the basis for understanding MTHFR, Methylation and Epigenetics and provide tips on diet and lifestyle practices to address these SNPs in this complex biochemical pathway as well as how and when to gently support detoxification.
The beginning of this webinar features Hawthorn's Food News You Can Use! segment with returning guest Mira Dessy of www.grainsandmore.com.
