I maintain that whoever this guy is, he is the greatest MTG brewer that has ever existed. Watching Pro teams cope on the pro tours by saying "oh we had this deck a while ago" when we all know they just lifted these creations from 5-0 dumps was a moment I looked forward to in alot of PT interviews, especially with the Humans deck. 😝

Everyone refuses to give him credit for decks too. It’s so annoying.

The thing I like most about this deck is it makes matches actually last. They had to earn those wins and you never outright stomped them. Felt like an actual game.

"I shart myself for nothing" I feel like this applies to a lot of stuff in life, on the other side, I feel like this is an upgrade of the budget deck you did with ass the last time, very useful for those that already were able to get some sagas for themselves

I think it’s worth considering at least one Hex Parasite in the main here, essentially an extra copy of Conduit that can be found off Urza’s Saga and has some extra utility, like killing Planeswalkers and fully resetting sagas

Hex Parasite has been a clutch side board card for a long time in various weird combo-y decks like this. Agreed its worth exploring a mizers copy of it.

@@bryantan4228 saga tutors it but then is sacrificed. Then you just have a hex parasite sitting on the board unless you pull another saga. I don't think you can save a saga after it hits the 3rd counter. Even if you removed the counter the sacrifice trigger would still be on the stack.

maybe I’m just missing chromosomes, but this deck feels like it has a high skill floor, which makes me happy in pants because a lot of these tier 1 modern decks feel like they follow a flowchart. I think with your sharpened skills you could take this new archetype far. This big boi is praying for an update.

One of the few MTG content creators that doesn’t concede even when the going gets tough. Beautiful work in that game against BR rock. I’d watch your videos even if they were an hour long. I can’t get enough of this beautiful content

The games where Conduit worked looked insane. This deck is really promising. Some ideas for other directions the deck might go: The Flame of Keld would be really strong if you can stick it on chapter 2, bit it is a bit fiddly otherwise. Elspeth's Nightmare and Hidetsugu Consumes All both seem like very powerful sideboard options to completely end the game in particular matchups.

I used to play hardened scales affinity in modern when mox opal was legal. I LOVE that deck more than I could love any human child.

I think this deck definitely needs a follow up. This is a 5-0 archetype in the making. I feel like I'm a part of history now

As someone with a [[Chisei, Heart of Oceans]] EDH deck, it's surprising that decks like this didn't spring up way earlier. I figured as soon as Sagas got even remotely strong people would jump all over the counter manipulation strats.

It's one of those things were you put a card that is so bad by itself that you have to test it to actually realize that Conduit is strong enough to warrant the bad games where you can't assemble anything.

This is probably the only real MTG content I get excited to watch. Keep up the good work.

I used to play Power Conduit back in the day with Chalice of the Void and Coretapper in an artifact control deck. Wincon was Jitte. That was old expanded, around the first Alara block :) Power Conduit is great.

Hey Aids - ever heard of the infinite-everything Combo? Cauldorn Familiar + Witch´s Oven + Academy Manufactor + Clock of Omens = Yolo. You have infinite drain, life gain, card draw, artifacts and mana.

Truly a pioneer of deck building. Some awkward draw potential, but a lot of really great synergy! I know someone who’s making food currently: I will be recommending this build.

Really cool find on power conduit. It’s got me wanting to brew around more sagas.

I think this actually has potential. I'd like to see this combo being experimented on more in the future.

God damn it man, now you're gonna make power conduit an expensive card as soon as I'm building my sagas control deck >. I stumbled upon this combo a while ago and decided to go the esper control route, but after seeimg this video, I think I prefer this build. It has good interaction and answers for a lot of modern, but can still create oppresive board states thanks to power conduit and your 2 sagas. Great build, love to see this really cool value-oriented combo in one of my favorite creator's videos :)

The utility of power conduit is really good here, I think I'm going to try it in legacy with red prison. will have to switch out the blood moons locks for a Urza's Saga package and fable is already played there.

I really think this deck is super cool! I've been a fan of Power Conduit ever since I started playing. I used to run it my kitchen table quicksilver fountain deck.

Oh man, I got excited as soon as I saw Power Conduit. Such a great forgotten card.

I wasn't even aware sagas could be saved by removing counters. That was amazing to watch. 4-1 is still pretty good!

I feel like the power conduit interaction is potent, but maybe in a different shell than Asmo? Akroan War didn't seem particularly strong, but I'm sure there are other interactions that could push this concept into higher tiers!

I must be deficient, I swear I spent ages looking for hex parasite alternatives and I never even knew conduit existed until now. Finally I have a way to loop the armageddon effect on fall of the thran for no cost!

I figured this was gold when it came out. I'm glad you are able to use it well.

Seeing Power Conduit n Chalice of the Void in the same deck makes me happy. When I was still a noob n didn't realize the exact ways the stack n responding to things worked I thought I could move the counter on the Chalice in response to a cast spell in order to counter it. I was wrong but I spent 2 months trying to make the deck perfect until I realized it was useless. This gives me mad nostalgia

That would be pretty cool if that could work! It's still pretty useful to use chalice and conduit to move the chalice up to higher counters!

It's nice to see daddy back to making decks after sharting on modern Horizons 2, and also his pants.

I actually run Hardened Scales with Spike Feeder, Walking Ballista, and Heliod. If you can't ping them just beat them down. Even put in Luminarch Aspirant for keks. Also congrats on breaking modern again, although it is already broken.

I was just thinking about Power Conduit the other day. It's the king of durdle.

I really appreciate how Daddy says we helped him bring hardened scales into existence. I don't think I did much, but it's nice to be appreciated

The akroan war seems poopy, you have to have power conduit to get the recurring stealing and the other modes are pretty poopy, plus it's a 4 drop, plus you already have 8 other sagas that work with power conduit

@@michaelking7391 both village rites and dispute are pretty similar rites is better if you drought while dispute is better if you have artifacts or something to ramp in to, in the case of this deck since there is lots of artifacts dispute is definetly better than rites

Just brought 10 conduits just in case! Super cool deck and seems powerful now and can probably be optimized even further!

I think you did fine. As you said, they just had all the answers. Luck of the draw got you, but otherwise it seems solid. Power Conduit's been a card I've had my eye on for a while, now it definitely is something I'll tinker with now.

Im not sure if the shell is the best, but I love the combo.. never even hurt of power conduit before!

You should try power conduit in a deck like mono red prison, play around with counters on chalice, beef up ragavan, still play sagas and fable I'm gonna work on a list myself it would be so sick

I can't help but wonder about power conduit and -1/-1 counters. Kitchen Finks and Devoted Druid seem like great cards to work with here. Could it improve the decks that already run them?

I want to see another video of this. Maybe with Hex Parasite and in a nonfood shell. The conduit+sagas is too good, it HAS to belong somewhere, even if this is already really good.

This feels like the type of deck you would really only want to play on mtg online instead of on paper because of how complicated it is xD

It's such a cool card. I've definitely tried to make an edh deck that really wants it, but it is kind of a specific effect. He is a fantastic brewer

Please help me understand how in the first game after playing the three cookbooks you made three foods but it didn't show anything discard.

I had a deck that used Surge node, power conduit to power up Everflowing Chalice, Astral Cornucopia then cast coax from the Blind Eternities for a 15 mana card. Also used Saheeli, Sublime Artificer to turn things with charge counters in to other things like Magistrate's Scepter. Also used proliferate cards as well. edit: oh and Roalesk, Apex Hybrid so that copying him with saheeli is always fun too. if I rebuild it I would add Treasure Vault for making treasures by turning another artifact into Treasure Vault

Maybe a Jund lands shell with Binding of the Old Gods as a perma removal with Conduit, some Wren and Six etc could indeed be really viable here

I like when you go through the deck and sound like you're about to pass at because you're blitzing through cards so fast.

Apologies for sharting yourself but given you made an Irza's Saga deck with actual play patterns and interesting use of the card, I'd say 100% worth.

I played modern mud and I never thought to use power conduit. I've been using Hex Parasite.

Wow, I am surprised to see Power Cunduit, but then against, seems that is on theme.

Power Conduit was a card I really wanted to see work in a good deck back in Mirrodin Standard but it never mattered because affinity was too strong. Later, in Dominaria when they introduced sagas I wanted to see this deck idea exist. Breaking sagas with the conduit. But again, no such deck arose. Finally! It's been so many years, but finally!
