Today I got my first 7-1 on Arena. It was like I had Legends voice in my Head. Evaluating the picks, ranking cards, looking for synergies and thinking about the sequencing of plays. I've learned so much. Thank you Luca. :)

The other day i started a draft, and in my brain i automatically went "pack one pick one, what do we have here"

If Revenge of Ravens doesn't seem great, you don't have enough of them.

Nice draft! Something to keep in mind with Konrad, btw, is that not only does forever young refill your deck preventing you from milling AND get a bunch of creatures on top for damage, the forever young itself deals massive damage when all those creatures leave your graveyard! Super fun finisher, especially in sealed, but draft can make it work too :) cant wait for more eldraine stomping

I know it would make things overly complicated but Flaxen Intruder's adventure should create three different-sized bears :-P

Surpise surpise a Green/Black deck in ELD on arena. My god the bots are messed up atm

I don't know if it's that I somehow jive with the format, or that there are a ton of new players, but out of my last 6 traditional drafts, 5 of em were 5 wins. almost all of em with different color combinations as well.

Okay, this draft lead me down a 4 hour tangent of building a Syr Konrad deck in standard that's part self mill/ reanimator, part aristocrats, part mill the opponent which then took me to making a Konrad EDH deck and thinking about brawl

The Faerie can't block if it's tapped. Could argue we should have done so the turn before, but wanted to make sure we could kill Innkeeper in case they messed with a Rider again.

Im just starting MTG with Arena. I have read that doing draft is a good way to start building decks, but since I am brand new, is that still a good idea?

Can someone please answer this question regarding the combat that happened at 43:24. The opponent attacked with a 5/4 youthful knight and legenvd blocked with a 5/5 and a 5/4, both without first strike. The opponent chose to kill the 5/5 blocker with first strike damage and when combat went to the regular damage phase, wouldn't the knight(5/4) and the second blocker(5/4) trade normally instead of the knight dying and the blocker remaining?

the max damage the youthful knight could do was 5, first strike only hits first doesn't attack twice

So what your saying is that a creature can only deal damage once in every combat unless they have double strike?

@@twosetz239 It deals damage equal to its power. 5 power spread out however you want among blockers. That's why deathtouch can deal 1 damage to blockers and kill any number of blockers equal to its power. Double strike gives it a first strike damage mini-phase and also a normal combat phase. Yes, it's "dealing damage twice" but understanding the damage spread and understanding there are two damage phases can be important in some situations.

First strike means a creature gets to deal damage before creatures without first strike. Once that happens that's it and the surviving creatures without fs deal their damage. What you're saying would happen if the attacking creature had double strike instead.

Uhh, garenbrig paladin is so good and u passed on it so many times. I don't understand how marileaf Rider is even remotely pickable over it.

This was one of my first drafts of Eldraine, so I didn't value Garenbrig Paladin as highly as I should have. That being said, curve is also important and Maraleaf Rider is still a great card.

I don't even have to worry about the draws because I never draw enough mana to have a balanced game, and I always have 25 lands in a 60 card deck. I wanted to like the game, but between the matchmaking and poor deck cycling It just seems like a cash grab for Wizards.
