Have you ever finished a complete driveway with just a high pressure nozzle?

I cleaned my driveway with water and dish soap. Let it set in the sun, but kept it wet for 30 minutes and used household power waster. Came out great.

Interesting test. As to trying LA's Totally Awesome at full strength - I believe it needs some amount of water to activate the chemicals.

I've had good luck with a vinegar, dish soap solution on my concrete. That will lift the dirt/mold fast with a pressure washer. It works best to let the solution sit over night and to start with dry concrete.

I did my own test without a pressure sprayer. I used Mold Armor concrete formula and I actually waited 10 to 30 minutes and it worked a lot better than LAs Totally Awesome that I sprayed at 5-1 concentration and over a period of 35 minutes scrubbed the surface repeatedly with a brush broom in 90 degree directions 6 to 10 times. LAs doesn't seem to be able to eat away at the mold like Mold Armor does.

I use Zep's version of Purple Power. That cleans concrete pretty good. I've seen those circle washers with brushes in them. Those clean a little better. 🐀🐾

Appreciate the video. Can u provide specs for your power tools. I know it's a ryobi, 1600 psi. What is the diameter of the "plate" and do all ryobi 1600 psi macHines have the ability to be used directly on cement AND then lifted up for the rinse step?

It’s the 12 inch diameter made for electric power washer. It has the standard quick connect fittings that most power washers utilize for water nozzles.

As a professional, I recommend at least a 3000 psi pressure washer and a larger surface cleaner disk. Then you will seldom need any chemicals.

I find that high pressure removes the top layer of fine aggregate on my driveway and leaves unseen pits that get dirty rapidly, so I opt for the chemicals that dissolve grime without the need of overpowered equipment. The surface cleaner discs are awesome! I use one on my vinyl siding too!

I am a new washer and I cannot seem to find the answer to my question, I have a 2.8 gpm washer that can run up to 3100 psi will my pressure washer have enough to support a 14 inch or even 16 inch surface cleaner, while also doing a good job?

  • @Bamamike223

@@nickpeterson719 14 inch for sure! I have been washing for 9 years now. And it will do a great job with even passes. Not sure about the performance of a 16 but I see other pros use a 16 with a 3400 psi. Just note, the psi max is based on using Zero degree (red tip) nozzles.

When using the surface cleaner on the four different sections, why are you not using them in a uniform way. In other words why are you not using them first forward and back and then horizontal for the entire section instead of using it in some cases in flatwise and slant-wise? I would think that would give you two different results.
