"Bob Johnson" always gets me.
Just when I thought they left out the best one, they closed with it instead. Big McLargeHuge forever!

"So in the future there is no shame" Pretty accurate description.
Why we love Space Mutiny? Because we put our faith in Blast Hardcheese!
There is a local reporter in Denver who is named, Tak Landrock. He always reminds me of this episode. It would have been a perfect addition to the many names of David Ryder.

I had a boss named Bob Johnson. After a week or so, I felt the need to explain why I was always laughing at him.
BOB JOHNSON! No, wait...
Bob Johnson gets me everytime
"Kalgon, blow me away."
This is not only my favorite MST3K episode but the one I introduce friends and family to who have never seen the show, as shocking as that sounds.

I've used itcas an intoductory epiode too. It perfectly showcases what MST3K is about.

I usually go with "A case of spring fever," but this is a magnificent episode.

I showed this while hanging with some 15 year olds (I was like, 19?) they were so bored and hated it. Anyway this is why you shouldn't hang out with 15 year olds. Even if you are 15, maybe find an older cousin to chill with.
“It would have continued to be the ‘70s if it wasn’t for you.” Oh yeah, like that would have been better. 😆
Big McLargeHuge There is no godly reason why this should delight me as intensely as it does, but you can't fight Chuck Beefsteak.
Stump Chunkman! Stoke Manmuscle! Rowsdower!
I was going to say this is the "best of" for Space Mutiny riffing, but they're missing another 87 minutes.
More high ground than any movie in memory.
May as well get this started. BLAST HARDCHEESE

Put the top up!
7 years ago i was watching this with my girlfriend and we were crying. my sides were sore the next day and well, her insides were. i miss those nights.
The names are the best! Wish they could've had more in other episodes!
Best MST movie ever!! Our whole family loves to watch this. One of our favorite lines, "Rolling Fizzlebeef!"
It can't be a Reb Brown film without excessive screaming.
"YOU WANNA GO, 80'S MAN???"
This is my favorite episode, hands down!
2:43 -- "Recorded in Ultra-Stereo by Lord Karnage!"
I love how all the computers on the set are actual functioning home computers from 1988 or earlier. If you freeze frame on the one that Sting puts David Ryder's ID card into, it is very clearly an IBM clone.
Big McLargeHuge and Thick McRunFast still crack me up.
hilarous episode good riffing and good host segments
Aaaaaah!!! anyway got that out my system

still my favorite episode

Not sure if that helps but... Ho ho ho !
Sting, Debbie Reynolds & God - well that explains why they brought that dead woman back ☺️
The nicknames are never not funny
Oh man, this episode is def up there with the list of ones I laughed so hard I cried. ESPECIALLY the end of the final showdown... those comments. And the thing about the 'hey you're dead', haha. One of the biggest continuity blunders I've ever seen in a movie, given it was literally the next scene and there she was.
through the years .. this one kills major McPigglesmost.
BIG MCLARGEHUGE!!!!
the lead meat head looked like rob gronk. lol.
Wait, Bob Johnson? :D

Blast Hard cheese
but that actually was ILM doing the effects. i always wondered "why does this movie look like shit but the special effects look cool?" then realized they just ripped off the original battlestar galactica ship shots. one of the best MST3K riffs ever.
@HailAnts

ILM didn't do the F/X for the 70s Battlestar Galactica. They were done by John Dykstra, who did the effects for the first Star Wars but then he & his company did BG instead of Empire. The name ILM wasn't even coined yet...

Who took my purse
I can't believe they never mentioned the parts this movie literally stole directly from Battlestar Galactica and inserted into their movie as if it were their own work LOL. Seems like that would have been a great opportunity for jokes.
Who doesn't love Space Mutiny? It's one of the best/worst movies I've ever seen. The story and costumes are utterly absurd. It looks like it was originally meant to be a space porno but then got changed to be marketed to a wider audience.
Space Mutiny is a bad movie, but fortunately, Mystery Science Theater 3000 made fun of it and turned it into a funny movie 🍿
