I still remember the first time this episode aired. I turned 13 later that month. I never forgot “Pu-ma man, he flies like a mor-ron.” MST3k was my most hyped part of the week. Some Saturdays I managed to talk my dad into ordering Papa Johns. I would lay on the couch munching away on my pizza watching MST3k. I don’t think it’s possible to reach that level of bliss again.

The worse things get the more I miss the 90s and this is the closest we have to time travel

I just wanna say thank you for this channel. This is absolutely wonderful, and I appreciate all the work you've put into it. I've been watching these on a CRT and it's like having a time machine.

I can't believe all the bad movie review channels have missed this clanger. So Vidino (sp?) murdered four other people before he tried to kill Tony? The actress who played Jane was an actual Playmate. One more: "when you want the flavor of bacon in a dip" is one of my favorite MST3K jokes ever, and it's a real earworm to boot. Thanks for posting these. The commercials really make it a different experience. Remember the ad for the guy talking about the Face on Mars? I saw him speak back in the 90s when I lived in Phoenix. 🙂

I think the idea was that Donald Pleasance’s goons were killing people they thought might be Pumaman. But yeah, more people need to hear the word of the Pumagods! 😆

Back in the day, my friends and I often referenced the “lyrics” for the Pumaman theme song. We also made Johnny Long Bow stew, but that’s another story.

1998! I was barely alive back then! My consciousness hadn't established itself yet. I missed too much being an infant.

1981 tv movie called Computercide, which I think was a reworking of an earlier pilot for futuristic detective show.

A 1981 TV movie called "Computercide" starring Joe Cortese, Susan George and ironically Donald Pleasance. Probably a failed pilot for a futuristic detective show set in the far off future of 1996. Would've made for a good movie to riff on.

Don't worry. Took a small break to collect some more tapes and assess which episodes/years come next. Next should be a 1999 Season 10 ep. Then I think I'll do an episode or 2 from the 2000-2004 Sci-Fi reruns.
