MST3k 607 - Bloodlust

Комедия

In true horror film tradition, four beautiful teenagers are led into a cheesily-dressed set made to look like a jungle, where they're hunted down with fake weapons. Much moustache-twirling ensues.

Why the hell did they never broadcast this in the UK ? I know a lot of the references are US based, but we all watch so much US tv growing up that even I get most of them. And the humour is so sardonic, clever, dry and often just silly it would have been perfect on late night telly.

Apparently the two people who replied before me don't understand the reference. It's not about dumping things in rivers with no consequences. It's about the fact that the government used to pay farmers to destroy--or simply not grow--certain amounts of certain crops in order to keep prices stable. Hence the "government pays us for it" part. But, sure, just assume that everything perfectly aligns with your world view.

My favorite version, is Get Smart's Island of the Darned. Hans Hunter chases 86 & 99 all over the island. He sends a box to CONTROL headquarters. MAX: "He looks strange." CHIEF: "Max, he's been stuffed. I suppose we should bury him." MAX: "It seems a shame after going to all the trouble of stuffing him." One of my favorite Get Smart's.
