Ivan D I'm currently doing a h4 / h1 swap. where are your bulb ballast? I'm seeing all over eBay kits that come with ballasts.
Dude, you saved me, thank you

I. Love. You. THANK YOU
@johnny D what do you call the harness? and where can I find it? can you help me
Bro thanks a lot i was roaming here nd there for the proper guide....Finally got it..... can u explain the proper components on a hid kit assembly??
Oh Jesus Christ! Thank you so much!!
I wonder if this applies for the D2S projectors as well. Doing retrofits in my 03 Tacoma and I already have an H4 HID harness, but everyone who builds retrofits keeps telling me I have to buy a special projector H4 to D2S harness.. which costs more than I paid for the projectors themselves. Makes no sense.
Any help wat i cN do. Bcoz sum of bcm from Mazda bt50 2013 make low beam fault and sum of the high beam. Any tick pliz
Will this harness work of I am using a LED H1 bulb that does not use a balast?
hey i ordered a h4 hid kit but i only say your vid after,,i need an h1 because i have in projectors installed ,do you think i can alter the h4 bulb to fit the projectors ,,
ok thanks man
what kind of ballasts do i need if i have 03 protege es?
Thank u
Yeah dude, but how do you give power to the ballast, or to the bulbs itself. The h1 bulb has two wires with the connectors made to plug in the h1 socket of the car, which in this case is not possible since you have h4 factory socket. If you plug the h4 relay harnes into the h4 socket on your car, you will control the projector but still you have no power that goes from the car to the ballast and then to the bulb itself. I bought this h4 harness but I got to this problem
So plug only one side can use both side right sir?
ivan, im attempting to make halo projectors for my msp so i wanted to know how you mounted the projectors into the housing, did u modify the original housing or did it fit in their normally? and youre on mazdas247 right?
so just to quickly sum up. all I need is the projectors. a h4 hid harness and then h1 bulbs will simply plug in to the h4 harness?

Damien Walker need a hid kit with h1 bulbs , h1 mini projectors, and h4 hi/lo hid relay harness.
So you retrofitted the projectors from morimoto into your stock headlamp using the projector adapters that attach to the h4 bulb mount, and after that where did you get the relay harness from? Would a regular hid bulb- ballast from eBay would work fine with the projectors? Or would the light output and cuttoff be crappy ? I have 3 days trying to understand hid options for my car x.x, thanks a lot for the video by the way!

+Fred Torres, yes i retrofitted the projectors into stock headlights using the H4 adapter (that should come with the projector kit). Afterwards i got the H4 hi/lo relay harness from ebay, to control the Low/high beam function of the projectors themselves. And then Yes, a basic HID kit will work fine (as long as you specify the H1 bulb to come with it, cause that's what the morimoto projectors take). If you want more light output, then get a higher wattage HID kit (55W or 75W for example, as opposed to a basic 35W kit). And the cutoff depends on the projectors, not the bulbs/HIDkit.

+Ivan Dudyak thanks a lot for responding! you cleared it up for me. ok so I was mistaken I thought my 2004 civic si had h4 bulbs but I just checked and it's a hb4, I imagine they wouldn't fit I don't see any adapters for it online. So I guess I'm only left with the option of getting tsx projectors which are a direct fit for depo headlamps at least now I know I can use an eBay hid kit with the tsx projectors so I don't have a crappy cuttoff line. Thanks a lot again!
Do you have the link of where you got it?
will this work on an h1 LED?
Where did you get the relay harness?? The one you showed. Connected to the high beam solenoid. ??

Alright thanks so much man! I found one! I bought the moto harness from trs! Thanks dude! And love the protege! Looks nice
Hi! Thanks for video. But I understand all of them except one thing. Now you connect the relay directly to battery and h4 socket from relay to orginal light harness. Everything is ok till here. But what happened to another socket on light that to feed orginal h4 socket harness of light? Are there 2 input on h4 socket ? One is come from relay and the another is come from car's orginally? Does it occur any short circuit?

I'm not sure i understand your question, but just in case, here is how i had it in my car. the car has 2 h4 connectors, one for the left and one for the right headlight. the one on the right i didnt use any more at all, left it unplugged! the original left h4 plug that used to connect to the regular bulb, now connects directly to the HID relay I showed in the video (the relay that get power directly from the battery). That relay is now the ONLY thing that sends power and ground to the HID ballasts. The reason you still need the original H4 connector is because the way that relay is wired internally, it needs to know when to turn the HID ballasts on, which is why it uses the inputs from the H4 plug.(as you know that H4 connector has 3 wires, ground (-), low beam power (+), and High beam power (+). So now when you turn you headlights on, power still gets sent to the Low beam wire on the H4 connector, but instead to going into the bulb, now it gets sent INTO the relay, to turn the realy ON, and then the relay takes power from the battery, and sends it to the HID ballasts. and also when you switch your High beams on, power is sent to the High beam power wire in the H4 connector, that then gets sent to the relay again which keeps the projectors on, but also "opens" the flap in the projectors themselves, that gives you extra light coming out. Hope that helps, sorry for the long explanation.

Dude, the title literally says H4 relay harness, and the video goes on verbatim what connects to what.
Hi. Are the Xenon kits (of each manufacturer) essentially the same (components, ballasts, etc.)? By that I mean, can you install a particular kit in a car with H4 bulbs, and then later remove the kit from the H4 bulb car and install to another car (that takes H1 bulbs) with putting H1 bulbs? Or do yo have to buy an H1 kit?
@ivandudyak13

The generic ebay HID kits, are pretty much interchangeable, you can plug any bulb into the ballast you already have. so yes, if you already had a H4 HID kit, just take the ballasts off, and use them on your new H1 bulbs.

@ @@ivandudyak13, Oh ok. When you bought these projectors, did they include an adapter/converter (or similar)? My car's stock headlamps (reflector headlamps) take H4 bulbs and I currently have a Canbus H4 bi-xenon kit installed. The reason I ask is because I plan on putting new "angel eyes" type headlamps (these headlamps I found for my car have projector and they take H1 bulbs). So, besides the H1 bulbs that I will need to purchase, will I need a relay harness too, or is it different case with the H1 xenon kit? My main concern is: With these lamps (mentioned above) installed, will I be able flash the headlights with the highbeam without the lowbeam lights (the main lights, where the xenon kit will be installed on to) turning off in favor of the highbeams? Also, will I be able to have both my lowbeams and highbeams constantly on simultaneously (when I drive alone in a rural road with no lighting at all)? Thank you in advance

@@delaccnt86 if ur new headlights take h1 bulbs, then yes, you should be able to just either get a HID kit with h1 bulbs, or use your old ebay ballasts, with the new h1 bulbs in the new headlights. as far as the Hi/Lo beam functionality, i cant answer that, because i dont know which headlights/projectors you're buying. to give you an example, the projectors in this video are called Morimoto H1 projectors, cause they take an H1 bulb, so no adapters necessary, and also they have a little motorized flap inside them, that gives them the low and high beams, with the help of the H4 relay harness, cause the original factory headlight bulbs were h4s.

They're all pretty much the same, generic ebay HID kit ballasts. Unless ur asking if I'm using a 35 watt or higher ballasts. If I remember correctly I had 55W ballasts at the time. Anything higher and ull start melting ur projectors.
