@@deivytrajan sorry I’m so late back to this thread bro, but nope no whine at all, my pcs been working great and isn’t loud at all, the Suprim has handled every game I’ve thrown at it so far on ultra settings ((I run in 2k resolution though, not 4k)

I upgraded to a 4080 from a 1660 Super and I've been told I didn't jump, I LEAPED lol.

I own both the 1660 Super and the 4080 Suprim. I turned my 1660Super into a MAME ARCADE MACHINE.

It's a beautiful card and the Suprim vs. Suprim X are virtually the same card, other then the X comes with overclocking, but you can overclock the regular Suprim yourself to get virtually the same effect for a lower price. A very good product and a wonderful card, if you can look past the price, but that is coming down in the last few weeks.

What about coil wine, is there any?

I did not notice any in my testing.

Im getting the 4080 soon. Either this month (February) or next month. I'm still deciding between 3 different versions of the 4080... The MSI Gaming X Trio, MSI Suprim X, or the Gigabyte OC. I REALLY like this card. Now that I've actually seen how silver it looks, it might not match very well with my build since all my hardware is darker colored. This video has helped me narrow it down to the Gaming X trio or the Gigabyte card. Thanks for the review!

It might be Grey but the vram in suprim x is realy overkill compared to the 2 others 😁 its not called vram but the only card going over it is the asus rog strix oc

The Suprim X is better than all of the cards you've mentioned. The only cards that are better than the Suprim X would be the Asus Strix for it's overclock headroom which is the best out of all 4000 series, and the GIGABYTE AORUS MASTER for it being second place in OC headroom, and having the BEST cooler of all time. I own the Suprim X 4080, and it's amazing --- runs cold as hell. Definitely 3rd best. Don't get no damn X Trio.

@@mikewil7571 nah, the gaming x trio is garbage. I already got the gigabyte gaming OC 4080. That’s the one I decided on. The Suprim X would’ve been nice but they sell for way more than MSRP. and the price of them on Amazon and Newegg is constantly going up and down. I like the gigabyte gaming OC. It has great reviews, and mine has been awesome

@@AustnTok It's going up and down because you are looking at resellers. You gotta wait until it says the sold and shipped by Amazon one comes available which prioritizes over resellers. For Newegg, sometimes you gotta click the Newegg one on the side. But yeah the Gigabyte OC IS better than the MSI X Trio so it's not a bad choice. But that Suprim X... my god... so cold running.

@@mikewil7571 I know that. But I couldn’t find one available on amazon or Newegg for a month. I guess other people kept getting them before me. Either way, I’m extremely happy with my Gigabyte Gaming OC, and I don’t regret it at all. Plus, it matches my Gigabyte X670, and gigabyte ultrawide monitor.

The New drivers for the 30 series give them a boost. In time such boost drivers will come for the 40series aswell

@@overclockersclub The physical switch on the 4080 Suprim X with "Silent" and "Gaming" Mode. Basically I want to know if the zero frozr works also if "Gaming" mode is activated.

Very thorough review! I enjoyed it. I was hoping to see what you could get out of your card with some overclocking. I was only able to get 2955 on the boost and 1563 on the memory so far. I'm happy with that though so I'll keep it as my daily driver. My cablemod 12VHPWR comes in today which will be nice and sleek. I was happy to see my thermals are on par with the stock of both MSI and founders, since I set them up using the fan control application myself.

I have the same card. I CAN do +105 core and +650 memory, but +75 core seems to be 100% stable with 50 passes of port royal. I have a 115% power limit and I don't see it go past 67c at a constant 360 watt heat load. Great card, kinda wish it did 3000 Mhz but whatever, every single card is just voltage limited anyway so not much difference.

@@DaltonP386 I'm at +125 core to get 2955 in some games and 2940 in most others... I'm between +1300 and +1400 memory now that I stopped trying to pump the core I can get the memory a little higher. Do me a favor if you can and use portal rtx as your stability measure if you have it. I can be solid in heavily modded skyrim, Witcher 3 next Gen, and spider man, but when I play portal rtx in some of the later levels it will crash. So I had it take it down accordingly using that game and now I'm at the levels I recently mentioned. Still love the card. Amazing from a 3080 12gb. Changed from 1080 to 1440p so this made me feel right at home gaining back those frames at the higher reso. Edit: I'm at 125% power limit

@@Erniebern06 Yeah I don't have that game cause I played those back on Xbox when they first came out. All I have is the 3DMark benchmark suite and Quake 2 RTX from years ago on the 2000 series launch. Came from a 3080 10gb launch edition. Using it for 1440p 270hz and 4k 120hz. +700 on memory crashes and I've seen +90 core crash on port royal so I'm sticking to it I guess in terms of the best stability benchmark.

Hi mate can ask a question regarding the suprim and if possible can you test something out for me please? Can you set high performance in the Nvidia 3D control panel from normal then reboot to desktop and let me know if the fans spin at a constant rpm without any load or do they turn off until a load is applied? If you can help I'd be ever so grateful. Cheers George

If you don't have the MSI Center App. The rgb on the vcard will only do the white light? and not sync with the rgb of the motherboard with another brand like asus z690 rog strix?

Would you test this against the MSI gaming x trio? I havent found one review that compares both cards.

Well - if you compare the specs, they are essentially the same card under the hood. The Suprim X has a slightly higher clock and what appears to be a larger heat sink. Performance - I doubt you could tell the difference between them. Having said all that, I will see if I can get one...

What's wrong with that? :/ Vertical "pillar" style anti-sag support brackets are super handy and far better than those stupid PCI-E ones which don't do anything and are very ineffective.

@@LightyDust i mean irs good they put anything at all, but im just saying you pay a good premium for this card i think secound biggest after strix but i prefer the look of the suprim more, its just that the anti sag bracket looks cheap, and plus the yellow mustard cable also looks funny, but hey im being totally honest, as i will bw getting the 4080 super of this either way, best looking card im my opinion , apart from amd saphire card but thats amd
