Hey bud. I did everything this guy said in the pre flight planning but when I press the route legs. I doesn’t show the altitude and speed and heading the plane should be at at certain waypoints. How can I fix that

@@punjabibasskingsit’s because msfs has updated this plane to a more complex level, this means that you will need to follow a more recent tutorial.

B747-8 captain here. You never turn on both power switches before you’re load complete. Doing so removes power from the main deck. Power number two goes on during the before start flows.

Got Flight Sim on Xbox, and was completely overwhelmed by it. Your videos have helped me immensely ! Great job mate keep It up

This tutorial is outdated. Can we get an updated one? I created the flight plan and followed every step, but when I get to the flight computer, the V1, VR, and V2 speeds don’t show up like yours. Seems like lots of other people are having the same problem. Thanks

Yes I’ve been learning from PC players but these are perfect. Learning A+B sets engines to idle is the best thing I’ve learnt, I was always overshooting the runway before he passed on this nugget of wisdom!

For the sake of this tutorial I was able to stabilize the 747 (Xbox / s) and follow the path from the fms without turning around by itself. the trick was first activate the autopilot and then press lnav vnav. Thengs alot.

Can I just say that the only time the beacon (anti col) is on is the the second it is ready to push back and then when it’s landed they turn it off when the engines have spoiled down and the aircraft is safe to approach and the pilots don’t request for ground equipment then have to be on the aircraft all time unless it not scheduled to go out hope this help for any interested in aviation:)

I don’t really use the 747 cuz I’m not really used to such a big airplane I mostly use the 787 or 777 but this tutorial really helped thanks mate

Dude your videos are helping me enjoy this game like I never thought I would. Thank you 🙏🏻. Quick question will the VNAV descend on approach? I notice in the A320 the autopilot never descends and I have to do it manually.

Hi James thanks for making what’s seems impossible, possible. New to MSFS and X box. Please could you possibly explain, how on earth do I use the TOGA on the 747 using the controller and or mouse? Thanks again

Amazing :) If you could help explain putting the Star and landing into the FMC or simply edit the end of the flight that would be great. I find that flights take ages and that filling in the FMC takes ages. Why not just get the flight in the air and input all the data for the main part and landing while in the air so that you have something to do instead of sitting on the ground. Also, I have a Gamesir VX2 for the xbox and even thoug I've turned the sensitivity down to min, it's still nearly impossible to point at the buttons on the FMC - do you have any tips for that?

I followed your previous video on setting up a flight plan. Copied what you did but I don't have any speed or altitudes when I go to the 'legs' page on the FMC. Do you need to enter them manually?

I have no flight plan in my in flight computer and I did the exact settings from the previous video on how to opan

Is the 747 working for you? It seems totally broken for me.

I have AI ATC communication on but pushback and taxi clearance don't automatically start, I have to request it myself. Is there another option I have to turn on somewhere?

If anyone is interested in how to go from "Cold dark..." in real life for that extra bit of fidelity. I've posted it below. IDK if MSFS's software will even play along with this or not (Aerowinx PSX does -duh), but cheers anyway. Im finding that the autopilot will only work if i turn off vnav and use FLC to ascend and descend. Just had a near perfect flight from Heathrow to Bilbao

Doesn’t show any of my cruising altitude details for what I have to input which I’m confused as to why that’s happening.

Some reason ext power lights dont say if its on or when available cant toggle flight director and no numbers when adjusting crz alt or take off speed come on 🤷

My engine is turning on but the starter engine stick is not flicking back in and it’s staying in 2.6

When I tried to turn on the LNAV, it wouldn’t go on no matter how many times I clicked it, however, the VNAV went on just fine. Does anyone know what could be going on?

well this is no bloody good now because the computer thingy has changed in the 747 & it doesnt show any of the info in this video its just got squares im guessing that need manually filling in but i dont have a clue & have no way of finding out about it either since i dont know where to start

Nice video, but just one thing, in real world aircraft speak, aircraft descend to a lower altitude, but climb to a higher altitude. The reason we don't use ascend is because it could be confused over the radio with an instruction by ATC to descend.

I did everything right but the plane trim is at 100 percent and it's almost stalling and it keeps going up and down up and down its not Level off

I followed all your instructions but the engines would not go past 3% I was trying to fly out of LAX to Honolulu

Whenever I load this flight manually and I start up from cold and then check the flight in plan in the FMS and go to legs the 1st leg is always MTC3.0 in purple and I cannot delete it the plane on auto keeps it there for the whole flight. I dont gets speeds or FLs either. Am I doing something wrong?

Are you loading the exact same flight plan that I use in the flight plan guide?

Doesn’t work properly anymore, the 747 seems bugged and my displays just turned off heat as I was taxing

My speed is set to 310 for all legs no matter what on normal flight routes which triggers an overspeed. They really gotta fix stuff like that
