This was the first cruise I ever went on had a great time the staff was very good towards our needs love the food and the music also so much to list would definitely recommend to everyone I’m used them again 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲

Thank you for your post. I'm hopeful that MSC can get with the North America cruise lines standards. My rep has told me they are changing the way they do things to capture the US clients. I'm going on MSC again once they are in Galveston TX next year.

You will experience a big difference overall in my opinion. Just note to only use the device you want to use all week for your wifi because you cannot change it once you log in unless you want to pay for another plan. I have many other pointers in the next few episodes that will be out by the time you board. Have a great cruise!!

I have left from this port on numerous Princess cruises and never experienced anything like this. This must be the MSC process. Either way leaving from NYC is an experience. Seeing the skyline, the Statue of Liberty and passing under the Verrazano Bridge is amazing.

Bummer your embarkation was so frantic. When we sailed on here it wasn’t too bad. We didn’t have specialty dining though. It was also 3 years ago. I do however hate that credit card kiosk. I don’t understand that at all. The Seashore was amazing but we were Yacht Club and they did everything for us. What a cool sail away. The stair of Liberty and the bridge… We’re so used to Florida. Great video!

Yes, MSC is a bit behind but are trying. I told MSC when interviewed, "If you want to be different then the rest of the cruise lines, Then make your experience the same as your Yacht Club for everyone and charge appropriately and forget all these different packages!" It is confusing to clients and seems to be misleading costs once on board.

We leave in the morning on this ship to Bermuda. It’s my 2nd MSC CRUISE (just did my 35th on Carnival since2010). After my 1st MSC (Davina) cruise, I said never ever again. I’m hoping the second chance I’m giving them I’m pleasantly surprised. But with it being Bermuda, at least we will have 3 days in port if it’s as horrible as the first. Thanks for the video because I forgot (trauma induced amnesia) some things

Hi Jeffrey. Took the Oct 4th New England - Canada Cruise on the Mereviglia. I am doing my vacation video, and asking you permision to use the drone shot of the ship at the port. I will put credit at the end of the video. We had a great cruise. Our embarkation was not caotic at all. We had an embarkation time of 2:30. Our ride from the hotel came in a bit early, but within 10 minutes, we boarded on the ship. Thanks for posting.

We sailed the month after you and we used the drink package in all the restaurants.

@@jeffreysadventuresyoutube We had the easy+. Idk about room service, we didn’t try it. But I also noticed that the drink prices went up a little as compared to previous sailing. (Specifically Wine) so not as many were fully covered by the package.

I'm from NYC and I have NEVER heard of the Narrow Bridge. I had to Google it. Us New Yorkers call it the Verrazano Bridge🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for your informative and honest video. Leaving from NY instead of Florida was very appealing to us ....... until we saw your video. It appears it is too chaotic with long lines that it would ruin our vacation. I'll take a pass on this cruise for at least a year and hopefully they get their act together by then.

I'm hearing it is getting better, although I do not think it will get to FLL or MIA's standards only because staffing selections are not there. In LA or Long Beach to took about 6 month for them to get back up to par after the cruising come back. I'm looking to sail again but out of Port Canaveral in the spring..

We sailed out of Bklyn and there were lines but a lot shorter than the TSA lines at the airport. Love sailing out of NY. Not certain why it appeared there was no staggered boarding . They definitely have that in place.

Just got off MSC easy on easy off but we got there 10 am

We must have been on 2 different cruises. I sailed on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Embarkation was a nightmare. It took 4 1⁄2 hours to get on the ship. The Brooklyn terminal was the worst terminal I've ever been to, not sure how you think it's beautiful. It is not set up to handle a cruise ship of this size. The ship Itself was beautiful but that's where it ended for me. The staff is very unorganized, the food was mediocre at best, it was incredibly over crowded, and people were smoking pot on the main deck all week long! This was my 10th cruise but my 1st on MSC. I will never sail MSC again!

Yes, you sailed the week after us and they mentioned that one of the gangways had broken that caused a huge delay for us getting us off the ship. We did have our moments with the food and you will see this in our series of this ship. Although we did however have some good times on the cruise, as we felt the paid shows, comedian and live music venues were very good. We were disappointed with the buffet area most of the time mostly because of the food being cold and the same every day. So we adjusted and ate in the MDR when available and this helped get those different items.. I will say this, I'm not saying I will not sail MSC again because I truly think they are trying to become something different, although being different needs to be better then the others and they did fall short on this overall. April 29th 2023 was the worst embarkation we have ever seen in 20+ cruises from 7 or 8 different ports. Complete lack of organization. The extra hour it took to get into the cruise parking area was nothing compared to the Mad max scene of the lineups (yes multiple lines as everyone seemed to have their own line).

I was on the Miraviglia the same time as you. What a nightmare cruise. 4 plus hours before they let you board was a joke. No bathrooms, no water and basically no food when you got on board. Very unprepared crew and very disorganized. Grand Cay was the only enjoyable day we had out of 7. Service , especially the bartenders was sub par. Drinks took upwards of 30 minutes or more at the bar and they waited on people who cut in line. Not good! MSC got me once but never again.

The process was confusing. Bottom line is you will need to make reservations for each night for each restaurant in your dining package that you upgrade too. The Main Dining Room remains the normal of being included in your cruise fare and there is no need to make reservations to eat your meals there.

I just got off Oasis of The Seas and had really fun and positive experience. I will take MSC Meraviglia in the Fall and a little worried it would be boring / underwhelming.

I hope your able to help me with this question. But what did security do with your drone? Did they see it and not care? I have a trip for the end of Oct coming up and i was told that MSC doesnt allow drones to be brought onto the ship. I was hoping to be able to use it on the islands.

I was able to bring my drone on the ship because I submitted a request to do so through there PR department. I was not allowed to fly my drone on their private island or in Nassau. The restricted airspace in Port Canaveral did not allow me to even take off even with permission. Only place I could fly my drone was in Brooklyn with FAA permission.

#1 Nathan is CUUUUUUTE :-) LOL #2 I have only cruised msc 1 time and it was Feb 2022 it's very hit and miss in regards to how they do things differently from other cruise lines (embarkation, safety drill etc) I'm from vegas and I'm a big foodie and I don't like the typical american food of hamburger, hot dogs, meatloaf etc. and you won't find that on MSC the food is more european and and I happened to have thought they nailed it. The food on my 14 day on MSC seashore out of florida was EXCELLENT. I also liked that in the buffet they had trays (I think more cruise lines should have that) and full size coffee cups. My cabin was totally fine. There were some things that I didn't like in regards to lack of events but we were just coming out of covid restrictions so I will have to try them again to get a better idea of events and shows.

Just sailed on MSC a week ago. Boarding was a nightmare 😮 I didn’t get my luggage until 9:00pm it was on the wrong floor. I ask for early dining and got 7:30 time. Food is ok not what we are use to at all. I thought the food was a little better on the buffet. Watch out for hidden charges on your card. Had to dispute charges twice at the desk. They were removed the next day. Not sure if I would cruise with this line again. I might would try a different ship?

Hey! We are boarding this sunday. I just wanted to ask with the passport check, is it similar to immigration where they take a long time on the computer while you wait? or is it more of they check if they match with the tickets? Im wondering if this would be the main reason theses delays are so frequent.

There just simply behind in times when it comes to checking in guests. It took them 10 minutes for them to find my room keys along with taking a “new” photo of me when the photo I had taken was much better and easier to see me. Then scanning our passports was another task! The lady didn’t know how to scan it so she had to ask a manager for help, waiting for the manager was another task! I’m sorry but all this was just so frustrating when I just got off the Allure of the seas a few week’s earlier with over 6k in passengers checked in within 20 minutes…. Just hope they can get it down. I’m hearing three weeks later it’s a little better. All they need to do is enforce the times allotted for the guests and this would make it easier to control the rush of people trying to get on the ship. Carnival in California will only take guests out of the time slots only if they are caught up. So if you have a noon time check-in and you show up early they hold you until they are caught up. Not MSC it’s a free for all!! If you have a 11:30am check in the 2pm people can jump right in line and stall the whole process. Hopefully they can get this under control. @@Quietaskept461 Hey! It was amazing AFTER the embarkation process. So big tip, forget that boarding time they put on the ticket and just show up as early as you can. Our boarding time was at 2PM but we arrived at 11AM to go in line and did not get on the actual boat until 1:45PM after all the sccurity check. But over all amazing amazing people. Go to all the bars and everything. Participate in all the events they have (White party, Dome shows, Art night etc.). If you want photos let the photographers take it beacuse you dont have to pay until after you see the photos they took. Your choice if you want to pay or not but at least try it out and see how it is. Highly recommend it. We actually booked another cruise on the cruise ship this time to go to Bermuda for 6 night cruise.

Were you allowed to fly the drone onboard ??😮
