@@LeonRenner I highlighted the first footnote, and then I right clicked on it, and then I picked "styles" and then I picked "Modify" and then you will see left justify, center justify, right justify and then full justify, the next choice going to your right after that is three choices of "three lines" each choice shows different spaces underneath it, I picked the one first one, it has very little spacing between the lines compared to the other two, and that is what solved my problem.

Glad you liked it :) Note, that the large space isn't a default setting. For this video, I had to insert the space on purpose, otherwise it wouldn't have been there. Might be that your Normal.dotx file is jigged and need to be reset.

Hi can do you happened have something to help me fix my problem Well, Whenever I print on a short bond paper there's always a extra space at the top. It is showing fine with my print preview, exactly how I made the document but once printed, it has an extra margin/space at the top. It's only happening with a short bond paper though. It works fine for long and a4

Unfortunately, the description is too vague for a proper analysis of the problem but it sound like this is not a footnote issue but rather a printing or page setup issue. Make sure that you don't have any weird scaling activated when printing, that your header area doesn't have a too large spacing from the top and that you don't have a bunch of empty paragraphs in the header.

check out the comments under this video for more suggestions. For some people it was not actually empty paragraphs above the footnote text, but rather the paragraph spacing options of the footnote style. You migth wanna look into that.

Did you activate the formatting symbols? If there is still space in between the text and the line, it could be that there is some paragraph spacing active for your footnotes.

I figured it out, the line itself was formatted with 1,5 line spacing and 6pt. spacing at end of paragraphs. @@LeonRenner

If it’s just an empty paragraph, then you can simply click into the footnote area and delete it with the backspace key
