Ms Pat: I sold crack outside my daughter's school

Ойын-сауық

For almost a decade, Ms Pat has been telling her story on comedy stages throughout America. And it's one hell of a story.
From her early Atlanta beginnings, rife with poverty, drugs, and violence, Ms Pat has seen it all. And her triumph over struggle is nothing short of inspirational.
(Special Note by Jarrett)
Once again I have to apologize for the delayed publish. This interview was shot back in June, and it's been a rather busy couple of months. But I'm thrilled to finally get this one up because it is among the most memorable and important conversations I've ever had with another human. And I'm a better person for having been able to spend time with Ms Pat. Please enjoy and share this video so that more people can be inspired by such a lovely woman.

So I just discovered Ms. Pat tonight and I'm watching all her vids I can find. She's a cool chick. Society can learn a thing or two from her about how to be real, honest, and treat other people. She is hilarious, and deserves more recognition!

Love Ms. Pat. Teared up a little when she was talking about her teacher that took care of her and brushed her teeth and brought her clean clothes to school and helped her change before school and told her she could be whatever she wanted in life. What an angel.

Her tragic life story is now her success. I'm proud of her for turning it into what it is. But it still bothers me that this is white people entertainment.... not her fault, just is what it is...

  • @spiralrose

Latoya Boggans dude, this is EVERYBODY's entertainment. Ms Pat laughs at her own experiences so this is HER entertainment! Nothing wrong with looking back on the dangerous and stupid shit you did and finding the humor in it. I think it's insulting to call her life "tragic". Lots of folks grow up in the hood, getting shot and having less-than capable parents. Ms Pat looks back on the crazier shit she did and can find HUMOR in it all. THAT is STRENGTH.

As a “white” girl, I spent some years living in the ghetto as a child, I had a child at 16, etc. It’s not a race issue as much as it is a woman issue. Abuse, fighting etc.
