Skating should be an Olympic category. It makes me sooo happy to see the kids having fun & enjoying life as they should. I’m 54 and wish I could still skate because I would be hanging with them. I was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago and stopped walking 2 years ago but to watch one of my fave things I did just makes me well up with happy tears. The Djs were fire ^5 to them. I was prophesied God is going to heal me in May 2013 six months later was diagnosed with Ms. I was told was not going to have another child God healed me & bless me with a 3rd son. God performs miracles. God bless!!

This is FANTASTIC!!! I had no idea roller skating had evolved like this. I used to go to roller disco in the 70's and just figured roller skating had died out. Wow, was I wrong. I've been binge watching all your videos and absolutely loving it!!!

I went to the roller rink in the 70s too as a kid. Warnoco in Greeley, CO, which sadly isn't there anymore. I wasn't any good, but getting to go to the roller rink on a Friday or Saturday night is such a wonderful memory of my youth. Where they are today is mind blowing. I binge these videos every once a while.

I know me too! Actually you were right in yiur first sentence. In the 1970's roller disco skating was the bomb here in Califirnia. Tge 1970's to 1980's. Then it stopped. The roller rinks closed down because during the 1980's era, Cocaine and Gang Banging and makingbmoney or smoking and strung out, replaced this activity and sentva lot of our people of color in the inner cities to either prison or gangs or addicts. Including celebrities too. That was a very ugly era. 😢

There's skating but also double dutch, drum line, marching band to name just a few Black-American 'swag-laden' cultural contributions....The people are just blessed.

battle hardened gene pool! I'm European, so I don't even know what racism is supposed to be. but one cool thing i know about the surpassing manners and grace of the american south is that the black slaves were often african royalty. the slave owners were brutes but their kids were, of course, educated by black house slaves... so these white boys and girls started to become classy, cultured people. the official pc narrative also neglects that some, even many of these house slaves dressed up like african royalty and had splendid slave festivals. needless to say some of the intimate relationships between masters and slaves became enduring family relationships, replete with extremely cute offspring that was occasionally extremely well superannuated... and connected. i think being kind of embedded blue chip persecuted minority, like male gay, Jewish, US black, chinese, japanese is... often hard & unfair... but very good for creating super human qualities as group or network. affirmative action, equal rights & pay etc are actually the worst for skstelyfe.... see mitch, sam Brinton, Featherman, Blinken, Nuland... 😎

I’m in my 40s and picked it up in April. Go try it out during regular hours. If you think it may be for you, get some decent skates (Riedell boost or something similar) and keep going. Your own decent skates will make a world of difference.
I love seeing people enjoy themselves and just have good fun. No drama

I grew up in the 70’s in Michigan. I skated every Saturday (all 3 sessions). I loved it. I was good, I thought. I not sure the right way to say it but black people sure rock at the rink. I’m turn 58 this week and this looks like a blast!
Black folk are so creative, enjoy watching them skate, they would make anything seem like a fun thing to do.

These uploads always get me hype
back when i was a kid, playing rented roller skate on a nearby park was fun enough for me. my mother then bought me a blades(inline) and so neighborhood kids follow suit. those were days when we enjoy outdoor activity rather than staying indoor. Kids nowadays should experience the joy of skating, the feeling of breeze as you stride through the air, rather than facing their smartphone everyday.
I literally watch these videos with a smile on my face!😊 I am learning how to skate now and these videos keep me motivate. Thank you!!!
