The fact is there will always be someone just great. People love him for who he is in and off the field. Not everyone can be praised like that. Some people have that Aura. Gautam Gambhir has a very negative aura around him, but a great played in the field. Obviously not everyone will like him.

But unfortunately Gabba, 2021 was when India hit peak and it's been a downfall ever since. Like the guy is literally captaining a team mostly of inexperienced, out of form or players past their prime and winning trophies beating a god-level Gujarat team filled with quality!! Probably Gautam Gambhir could've been another excellent captain, won a few trophies and passed on the baton to Kohli. But Dhoni did everything he could with his abilities, even though he was never a good test captain. He went down as India's most decorated captain and wicketkeeper batsman ever. What else could he have done! Credit where credit is actually due! Hail the man!

He was a good test captain, never lost a series till 2011. Won a series in New Zealand, drew in South Africa. People fail to realize in 2011 Eng series nine main players got injured, He had to go to Australia without Munaf and Zaheer, both his main pace attack. He got defensive after these two series, you should see his captaincy before that. He was aggressive, much more than other captains. Sourav Ganguly never had aggressive tactics the way Dhoni initially did

The term credit stealer is because he batted before Yuvi in world cup finals where as in all other matches Yuvi was playing before Dhoni... and Dhoni's contribution throughout the world cup 2011 was next to minimum..

If you are a true cricket fan you didn't say that Gautam deserve that Mom because if you took another atleast 50 matches where the so called "deserving" players didn't got the Mom. Simple example from recent game Icc WC 2023 Ind vs Aus first match at Chepauk, where Kohli came at 2-2 in the second over and at a time he was 8(31) because he played most of the balls from Starc Hazzlewood Green Cummins, but end of the day Rahul played better and elegantly and got the Mom.

Indian Cricket Team is the strongest team in the world today, but still no icc trophy after 2013. After 2013 India Qualified for 2014 T-20 wc, 2017 Champions Trophy, 2023 world cup finals but never won. Yes, it is a curse!.

Dhoni was the main reason for winning in many matches like 2007T20 WC where he denied giving ball to experienced and gave it to joginder....in 2013 Champions league too....he gave the ball to ishant though he gave away many runs....but we, as a fans should not forget one thing...let me explain with an example:- "Imagine u are a talented cook and u make a great recipe....people will praise the cook but not the ingredients and helpers...it's obvious....but we should also realise...if the ingredients are bad....the food prepared by cook will be bad for sure...if the ingredients are good the food will also be good....but the credit goes to the cook..it's common....there is no need to praise the food ingredients but in cricket....we need to praise both...I mean players are ingredients and captain is the cook.....captain uses his talent to use his ingredients in an efficient way so captain should get the credit...and we shouldn't forget how ingredients performed..I mean players...they too deserve the credit...but at one point of time we as fans forgot the players and praised only tha captain...this made the captain get trolls...though ITS NOT DHONI'S MISTAKE...HE IS GETTING TROLLS NOW....WE AS FANS ARE THE REASON FOR TROLLS ON DHONI "😢

Dhoni is taking all credit.. no.. he is not taking it all.. he never said that.. always admitted his mistakes.. was first to go forward to take blames... He himself said many times.. he had opportunity to get support from champions like Yuvi, Raina, Gambhir , Jadeja., Zaheer Khan.. Bhajji... Bravo...for His Indian as well as IPL victories... Now, the thing is .. Dhoni's captaincy is no doubt one of the best... Because.. he changed the mindset for attacking and Playing against dominating People like Pointing.. etc... Moreover.. now come to Captaincy things .. the way he sets the field, plans the wickets, reads the pitch, I don't feel any other captain has done that ..
