well the normal Audis are known to be unreliable. The R8 and all the other 'RS' spec models made by Quattro Gmbh are handbuilt but much better reliability wise because of that, but most of the other components electronics etc are from normal Audis and they're obviously not reliable.

never, audis are really reliable, you have to think of the quantities of both companies, they are producing less cars and each is handbuilt

I am afraid you are a bit slow. Audi's are consider the least reliable of the big three German, (Audi, BMW, Mercedes). But they are far from the most unreliable cars in the world. MG, Jaguar, Lotus, Rover, Land Rover, Peugeot, are all less reliable. And Audi is working hard to make the cars more reliable so they can compete better with BMW in the long term.
