Footage of Miria Obote, the wife of Milton Obote, arriving in Kenya the month after her husband, who had been the Prime Minister of Uganda, was deposed by Major General Idi Amin in a military coup.

"Mrs Milton Obote, wife of the deposed Ugandan president, flew to Nairobi in Kenya yesterday. She was accompanied by her three children. Mrs Obote, who was met at Nairobi's Wilson Airport by Mrs M. Mwendwa, wife of Kenya's Chief Justice, denied she was on her way to Dar Es Salaam to meet her husband. This production shows straightforward coverage of Mrs Obote and her children arriving at the airport."

    Thanks my brother for sharing. Obote is our father of Nation he struggled for our independence and was lucky to lead uganda twice.

    @@peterkariuki9073 he is by the name kitili mwenda from kikuyu land .was a minister in kenyatta senior goverment then became a minister again in daniel arap moi goverment after the death of kenyatta jommo.remember obote was a member of KANU political party while in kenya before coming to uganda
